New owners as of the new year. Still a great pizza. $3 for camping. Very windy and dusty. Beautiful beach, but overrun with surfers. Also stayed before new years and that was loud with Costa Rican campers.

Beautiful, by the beach, $6k a night. No deals for longer stay. Samara has everything you need. Surfing lessons right beside. Can be very loud on the week ends if camp ground gets over run by San Jose's residences.

We wanted to go, after talking to a German couple we met in San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua. They unfortunately do not accept pets and we have two standard poodles.

January 16th, 2015 Camping Maria

Beautiful, beside a rocky beach, walkable beach 100 m away. Full kitchen, play room with books, pool table, guitar. Weary of dogs but she really liked our Canadian poodles.

January 15th, 2015 Paraiso Mirador Quetzales Lodge NP

A little cold up in the mountains after a few weeks on the beach. Right beside cabin #14, $20 a night with Banos, wifi in restaurant.

Great big place. Lots of amenities. Pizza down the street at Last Ballena Roja. Delicious.

Just a beautiful place. I can just imagine what it looked like 30 years ago. Lot's of place. Town is about 25 minutes away, if you need anything, but just bring it ahead of time. Pool was open. The cafe/restaurant was closed, but looked amazing. Had a picnic with new found friends. 300 pesos, I found was a little steep, but it was a restful night.

Right next to the beach RV site. Rate increases as you get closer to the beach, starting at 300 pesos plus 50 for internet. Noisy, as you are beside the stripe. Good security.

December 18th, 2014 El Mirador Hotel, Restaurant & RV Park

Amazing site. Only ones there, so we could camp anywhere. We dined at the cafe (100 pesos for food and big portions), watched the sun go down from their patio, with the dogs. Windy and a little chilly. The drive there is half the fun.

December 18th, 2014 Totonaka RV Park

RV and tent camping site across the road from the beach. $14 US with WI-FI. Fast internet.
