Probably on of the nicest overnight stays in South America. It's settled in a beautiful area midst the Zona Cafetera. Breakfast included in the price! The hostel offers delicious food for dinner and has also very good tipps for activities in the region. Don't miss to visit the Hacienda Sachamama!

We found this option per coincidence by asking around as there seemed to be no other option for overlanders. Big cars will not make it as the entrance gate is small. The hostel itself offers all necesities, but is really basic.

One of the most beautifil places we have ever been! You can stay right in front of the beach under coconut palms. Really romantic place to stay. Watch for mosquitos. The companies offering the ciudad perdida trek will pick you up at the hostel.

Recommended spot for overstays in Misahualli. The camping is right at the river where you can go fishing of having a bath. Very nice!

Gerd, the german owner of the Hostal Zentrum, is a really nice guy and offers a great place in El Mariscal. Big overlanders may encounter problems to enter the entrance gate so the spot is for vans and jeeps only.

Really cool campsite as the owner has a wide range of hummingbird species in his garden (other birds and animals to be seen around 5 o'clock in the morning as well). When staying in Mindo don't forget to have a look at the Swiss Reposteria in the centre of the town. The most yummy brownies ever!
