Interesting village showing you very old traditions. Really special! The entrance fee is 3000 cfa pp. The guide expects a tip (we paid 1000 cfa). For taking pictures of the fetish priest, king etc. you need to pay. We paid 200-1000 cfa.
There is also a hotel. Room price 5500 cfa (bucket shower). And a restaurant. All set up with the help of Americans in 2016.
So all looks fine.

In the middle of the village next to a playground. Very quiet. Some dogs and cats but they didn't bother us. Water available.

Now you can come with car to this beach only by the way near the restaurant. The other way are closed. This place is really beautiful 😍 Some tourists on the day but nobody at night.

Came here after finding the Caribbean Village campground was closed. Pitched our tent under the palapa. Had no visitors on a Monday night. We were on bicycles and had to ride down a side road to the shore, past two houses with angry (but fenced in) dogs. No problems. Lots of mosquitoes though.

Amazing fresh water springs to swim in... beautiful setting with smal man made water falls you can walk to. Short walking trails as well. Well worth a visit!!

When we arrived there was a big party going on by the pool, but at 21h everything was off and silent. we stayed at the soccer field and everything went good! Nice owner

This truly is a gem. Everything as described before. We've spend two nights there and been surrounded by zebra, giraffe, kudu and springbok. Hannes created a fairy tale campsite. It is a bumpy drive up there, but you'll be all by yourself. We thought it was definitely worth it.

Lovely small place. Beautiful view over the valley and river and sunken forest. New mirador platform being constructed; should be ready late Feb 2020. Shower/toilet block looks new too. Very friendly owner; we tried to buy a few potatoes and they would accept any money! We paid 10000 for 2 people (mid Feb, peak season)

Besides the „correo“ (other iOverlander spit in town) you can get also money through WesternUnion here. They were able to pay 70‘000 Pesos in one go.

Didn’t rely see anywhere goo to park. Felt mostly like private driveways. Perhaps if there was a pin drop but we didn’t feel comfortable parking up for the night.

Very decent burger for 300 pesos. 👍🏻 they have wifi as well, nice people

between Hillsboro and Truth or Consequences I found some BLM land that is easily reached. Wide open with beautiful views of mountains in the distance.

Great place by the lake has lots of room. There are a few fire places. Very relaxing and quiet no traffic noise. Just over 5km to walk around the lake. We had a peaceful night here no problems just the occasional dog barking. This is a place where you can chill out for a couple of days.

Nice open grassy area at junction of Race Track Rd and Old Dixie Hwy. Some shade along the edge, very quiet. Stayed one night but about 9:00am were told by County officers that it is private land and we couldn’t stay. They directed us to the nearby Aripeka Sandhills Preserve.

Stayed on beach for $10 but never seen so many mosquitoes. Left 1st thing in morning. 13 hook up sites available at $20 a night. Bought Texas State Pass ($70) & immediately saved the $3 each entrance fee (u pay this every day per person) & would have received 50% off campsite for 2nd night only had we stayed. No hot showers on this site either although they have some outside rinse showers.

As described. Perfect spot off the I-5 to stop for the night. Plenty of trucks around who park together but lots of space to spread out. Super safe.

Took me a while to find because a was expecting a large parking lot. Not suitable for a large rig; the entrance is not very large and once in hard to turn around if the place is busy
I made it with à jeep and a 17 foot trailer but there where hardly any one else then

police control for vehicules going west. we were going east so I don't know if that was a strong check or not

Spent one night here. Very quiet parking. Stayed on the right from the mall, Lowe’s wifi reaches there.

Just down the block from AutoZone. Changed out our bum alternator quickly and for a fair price. Highly recommend. The guy with the walker speaks English, otherwise all Spanish.

we stayed 2 nights there, very quiet and very friendly family. we didn't use the facilities (very basic)
no direct access to the beach as the place is up the cliff.
beach is 10 min walking down. nice to swim at night with plankton.
we paid 700 per night (they first ask for 1000), 2 adults and 3 kids.

8000 for a dorm bed without bedding.
4000 for laundry
wifi is not good.

Khaya Nyasica is a 50 acre, peaceful, small holding 15 Kms to the NE of Lusaka. It is one of the few remaining patches of indigenous bush close to the capital. It is easily accessible by good tar roads. 20 mins from the Great East/Airport roundabout, 15 mins from the Great North Road. It is 20 mins from town/shops and
5 mins from Bonanza Golf club (restaurant). It is 15 mins from Lusaka Airport.

Accommodation is a choice of a thatched Rondavel with Kingsize bed and bathroom or camping with the use of the Rondavel bathroom. There is a lot of space to park a vehicle with a rooftop tent. The whole property is secured by an electric fence with electric gate. This is a great place to spend a peaceful night away from the noise of the city and among fabulous bird life and a small herd of Angoni cattle. Camping is $10 pppn and the cottage $20 pppn.
