Nice little picnic spot with a creek running through. Pit toilets and outdoor faucet and spring water/faucet. Unfortunately, the spring is dry right now, and the faucet is turned off.

Spend a perfect night here with a minivan but we have a few RVs around us too.
Feels super safe and even if you’re parked in an avenue is quite quiet.
In the morning joggers and people walking dogs. Nice park.

There is a sign blocking access to the beach because of fire danger. It says closed until December 1 possibly sooner. There are a few pullouts before this that you can camp but they were all pretty trashy when I drove by.

At 9pm ranger informed there is no dispersed camping on army corps of engineer section of this reservoir where this site is. He said to continue 6 miles east past the dam to arrive at the part of reservoir managed by forest service where dispersed camping is allowed

Had planned on staying here but at 8:30pm got a knock from a security guard that said we were not allowed to stay. So we packed up and headed on. Maybe if you showed up later in the night it would be better but we figured it was better to just move on.

Just popped in to use the restroom. Left a donation. Wish we could have stayed the night! Looks like a keeper!

Thought this was a little more dispersed. Enough space for my pop up camper and Honda Element. Red ants and they will crawl up your pants. They have cabins that look nice. I stayed right next to one across from the restroom. People are somewhat noisy but it’s a good spot for the family. If you’re seeking more quiet, find something spread out

Small parking lot, hidden from the road, Trailhead for some nature/birding trails. There are no "no camping" signs, spent the night. Not really a campsite, but good to just park and sleep. Perfect for a van or car, less recommended for a large RV, although there would probably be space. Tent camping wouldn't work, though. Spent a peaceful night, the nearby road was effectively silent.

As described by OP. Train noise fairly loud, light to no road traffic overnight. Sign says no camping, park open from sunrise to sunset. Talked with state police, said to use best judgment (no fires, no nighttime hiking, keep it low key). Plenty of room for 23 foot / 7 meter Sprinter.

Beautiful place at a small lake surrounded by rainforest and palm threes. They rent basic tents around the lake where you can also find the restaurant and bar area. There is a place more up hill(without a view over the lake) for people who bring their own tent or rooftoptent. Ablutions aren't working properly, no running water in the shower, it's not well maintained.
There are some powerpoints but there is only electricity when they run the generator.
They offer different hikes, mountain biking and a spice tour. Can be busy with groups.
$20,- p.p.p.n. is in our opinion to much for the facilities they offer.

Large parking lot at a trail head. Room for all size vehicles and rigs. Washrooms were closed cause of covid but they had potable water and garbage bin, recycling and green bins! VERY busy during the day but quiet at night, only small noise from the road.

25 minutes off-road from main road and you’re in the middle of nowhere. Fire pit and a big Joshua tree will give you a small shadow during the afternoon. Only cons: no signal of cellphone service (at least AT&T). Bring lot of water.

Large area with many flat spots scattered throughout the forest. Quite a few other campers there but the campground is large enough that everyone is spaced out. A combination of RV campers and tent campers there. Quiet and absolutely beautiful view of the stars at night. No bathroom or showers. No grills or fire pits that we saw. Very dusty as there are no paved areas.

Small site on the side of Last Dollar Road, has a fire pit. I'd recommend a 4x4 since there are some steep muddy areas.

Quite a nice little rec site with clean pit toilets. The lake itself isn't as nice as Tatla or Pyper for swimming but it's more accessible as you only have about 300m to travel from the road. Great for a night.
