Coming from Salta 500m bevor, coming from from Cafayate 500m after the brigde, a very good dirt road is going down to the river. There is plenty of space for a few big rigs. Some places are well hidden from the road. Right now, this place is very clean. Please help, that this will be also in the future.

There is not much to add from the previous review, we can definately recommend this place, the steam sauna is awesome! The owner Kazuya is very friendly and helpful, he cooked a delicious dinner for us.

Tap at the edge of the village. Tastes nasty even filtered but not as bad as the water in Coipasa

Shortly after you turn left here there is a steep 4x4 obstacle, but after that there are a lot of spots the further you go.

Parking on the street in front of hostel. Quiet at night. We paid 20 Soles per night for our van (2 people). We showed up when they were celebrating a birthday party so lots of screaming kids and adults drinking, which is why I think we got a discount to stay. Bathroom was average clean and the shower was very warm. The WiFi worked on and off. Colectivo to the city from here was 1 Sol.

This place has very large individual sites that can accommodate big rigs easily. All sites have a covered area with safe power point and light and a long table and benches. sometimes the table is under cover sometimes outside. Fireplace and bbq too. Right next to the lake and the volcano. Good wind protection (needed the night we were there!). Showers were quite dirty and hot water a bit of a trickle. The manager was very friendly.
As always, the campsite came with a friendly dog. 5000 pp in November.

nice camping. We arrived on a sunday afternoon and we were alone. 15 site on the camping, maybe it's better to book during high season. we stayew 2 nights but they charged us only one. nice staff! They say that only 4x4 are allowed to go to the camping (the road is not so good), but they let us in with our van. the last 5kms on the "road" were a bit difficult, especialy because it rained the day before, but we did it.
cold shower only. clean toilets. no wifi, no network. potable water. nice place to stay!

If you think the food at the hotels is too expensive, come here to eat spaghetti for 500 cfa or couscouse for 700 cfa. They also have drinks for local prices and nice places to sit. Just walk down the beach and look for a blue bar.

Huge grassy camping area with stone tables and bbqs. 2 interior pools, one nicely hot, the other less so. 3 outdoor pools which are warm. Good hot showers, laundry sinks, loos. Bargain 100 uruguayan pesos each for car camping for 2 including pools (open until 22.00). Road pretty rough for the 12 kms from Young turn off.

super quiet, only the sound of the ocean. not the best beach due to the trash but definitely a good place to stay overnight. the road is in very good conditions. we even found firewood to cook. only a fisherman on motorcycle that left in the evening and came back in the morning.

At the end of the road comes a fisherport you can drive all way to the water and stand there for the night. A local showed us this place, because it shall be safe, quiet and right next to the lake with a mountain view. In the night a guard is around, with whom we had a little talk.

we arrived on a sunday at 3.30pm. they asked us to pay half price (150$ for the two of us) for this day and full price (300$) for the following day. we waited until 5pm until we entered to save the 150$. only us and one other overlander sleeping at the river this night. most restaurants and food stalls were closed on monday, but ‚el malecon‘ down by the river was open. zapatos aquaticos are a good idea, but it is also doable without.

Moz-->Swazi. Easy stamp out of Moz and easy stamp into Swazi. For Swazi, paid 100Rand road tax for our Toyota Hilux w SA pates.

We stayed at Elia's place for one night and enjoyed it. Paid 40 Soles for a room with two beds and a shared bathroom. By the time we were there there was no one else so we had the bathroom to ourselves. Everything was clean. Elias is a nice and friendly host. we also had food there which was good and fairly priced. The view from up there is really nice.

Guy at the gas station has a card, gave us all we needed for an official price - 600T/l

Lugar seguro e tranquilo para dormir, no Walmart tem banheiros limpos e Internet. Tinha bastante calinhoneiros e alguns motorhomes parados. Recomendamos.

Ótimo parque para passar o dia, apenas $5,00 dólares, os chuveiros são ótimos, quentes e limpos.

Se quiser dormir pode também, mas são valores acima de $30,00 dólares.

We stayed there for 3 nights, 100$ pp. Nice beach, good showers, lots of shade, small parking area & wifi didn't work ...
The restaurant to the right/south is nice and with wifi ☺

Wonderful brewery with fair prices, outdoor patio, and beautiful architecture. Worth it for a quick stop!

GO HERE!! You’re supposed to have a hunting permit to be on the property BUT they didn’t mess with me at all. I’ll be legit next time! No RV style camping but PERFECT for tent and Overlanders.

Go register in the little shack where all the houses are. Water behind the shack. The front of the grounds has a couple of spots with a pit toilet. If you want the REAL DEAL experience, go through the second gate to primitive camping all the way back to the Rio Grande. There are designated camping spots for 18 miles. Nothing but covered picnic tables and fire rings back here but the views are to die for. Cars won’t make it but I saw a few 2WD trucks. 4WD is highly recommended.

Also here on sunday. The square was fenced off but they’re next to the bank. Otherwise the phone credit guys know who you need. Euro got better rate than Namibian dollars.

We spent 2 nights here, it is beautiful quiet place, fantastic views over lake and mountains. It is an official conaf viewpoint, but there were 3 cars in 2 days, who spent some minutes there.

Great surf lessons with Koto Sandoval. A local surfer who has been here for 20 years. You can take lessons for 2h for 15k Clp and he also rents a room for 10k pp. He also accepts campers in his garage. I’m not sure if he charges for that, but you could surely ask him. There’s hot water and kitchen.

We stayed in a windy and snowy night up here and could find some shelter at an unused tent of a tour operator. Good place to stay and start the hike up to the volcano the next morning. We started at 04:30.
