Watering hole on the River Soumba near Dubréka. People come to collect water, swim and wash clothes throughout the day. Not much shade but a good breeze does blow and the frogs croak heartily.

Convenient stop over before or after Conakry. We had some young men knock on the camper door in the evening and ask for money. They were fine when we said we didn't have any. Definitely heavily used by the local village and afternoon/ evening seemed like young men's time so we were sure to give them some space.
Report Check-InIt's a nice place. Like described no shade and used by locals. But they are all super friendly and fine with tourists staying there. Nice if you need a place near Dubreka or close to Conakry.
Report Check-InNice spot next to the river. Shallow water. Wouldn't drink the water but clean enough for doing laundry and swim. Our kids (3 and 6 yrs old) loved it. In the afternoon local men would come to wash and sit by the rocks and have a drink. Friendly but this is probably a washing place for men only so I kept out of the water when they were nearby. We stayed over the weekend because we had to wait for our visas to be ready in Conakry. www.familjpaaventyr.com
Report Check-InNice, quiet place away from busy areas, good for 1 night camp... nothing here, just the river, but peaceful :-)
