Description

Great free spot. Perfect for vans or city cars. It’s a small pebble beach next to the RV camping spot. There are some lots for sale so nobody is going to bother you. You can spend the night with excellent WiFi (not long available as of Oct 2019) and cell phone reception only a few mins from the downtown. It’s not a perfect beach but great for a night in the city especially after a few margaritas or if you want to explore Loreto tomorrow morning and just don’t have power right now..

Latest Check-Ins

Great place by the ocean. Just had the Municipal Police warning us that there has been some theft lately and we are to watch out. said it was OK for us to stay but just to be vigilant.

Report Check-In

Avoid on Saturday night. The mariachi music blasting from the beach 200 yards north is so loud it will keep you awake.

Report Check-In

As described but a couple different pairs of locals showed up throughout the night and were talking loudly and playing music. It was a Friday and you can't blame them for enjoying the spot, but just FIY if you (like me) are a light sleeper.

Report Check-In

Easy drive in from town. Some cell service. Good overnight stop.

Report Check-In

Great free spot on a rocky beach to park a van overnight. Undeveloped private lots right behind it are fenced off, so the parking area is small, but will easily fit a few class B or couple of smaller class C rigs. We felt safe here and it was very quiet overnight. Great sunrise views. Hardpack sand/dirt for easy 2wd access.

We stayed here 2 nights. A few locals stopped during the day to sit on the beach for a short time, but it was quiet and safe at night.

Excellent & quiet little spot.
parked down here after we moved from Punta Bella to the north due to all the late night boom boom! Can't blame the locals there, it's a nice spot too, but better for weekday nights ;).
This spot one work truck came down Saturday to have his lunch near us.
One bad incident with a gringo lady with a dog on a leash who threw her coffee all over my dog, saying she was growling at her (lady too close to camper and hanging around) and when I talked to her she tries to tell me "they all live around here and to use common sense to have your dog on a leash" - I told her it is a public beach, I don't see any signs or other people here and asked her to move along and not throw coffee on my dog.

Report Check-In

This spot looked just a little too sketchy/exposed for us so we went to the next overlander spot to the north.

Report Check-In

If you are not too bothered about scenery and just want your own space, this spot if for you. Unfortunately we wanted a view so we moved onto the next iOverland spot north on the beach.
Rocky beach, sheltered from northern winds and flatish in places for your rig. We also saw police patrol near by twice in the 3 hours we were there.
