Malaysia
Converted to paid parking lot (at least on the weekends).
Grassy area by the beach, quiet, partly shady, only on weekends the local food stall is open. Access from Georgetown: about 1km before Teluk Bahang, after a blue metal fence, turn right towards the sea. It’s close to a huge abandoned hotel. Bus to Georgetown every 5min until midnight. Restaurants, shops in town (10min walk). Free, water tap at Hindu temple nearby. Ants and termites around.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon. The whole area was converted to a paid parking lot, not suitable for a wildcamp.
Report Check-InParked right next to the hindu-temple. Great place but lots, lots of garbage.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for a Friday night, parked next to the Hindu temple. It does get pretty busy but locals are very friendly and we had to take a lot of pictures with curious people walking past our vehicle. Nice. Fairly clean and no litter, bring Mozzi repellant!
Otherwise great spot for an overnighter! Thanks for sharing.
Comments as below. A little busy and noisy. If you are in a smaller vehicle it's worth driving along the blue fence to the quieter spot marked.
