Activities wildly overpriced, but still a nice place. Food overpriced as well, alternative at the Oasis on the main road.

We spent a night camping here. He didn't want to say a price, we had to offer something, he was ok with 2500 GYD plus we had dinner (3800GYD pp) and breakfast (1800 GYD pp). The lodge is beautiful and this price is fair compared to other lodges (one offered us 50 USD for Camping!). We booked a boats toor here with Elay, this we cannot recommend. It was supposed to be a half day tour for 30000GYD (150 USD), but it was only 2 hours. We saw a bunch of non-blooming lilies (he mentioned that some would start blooming later in the day but apparently didn't want to wait). the boat was too fast to see any wildlife and the one time we saw some monkeys in the trees we drifted away instead of driving closer as the motor wouldn't start. would not even pay 20 USD for a tour like that. After that we were fed up with Guyana and its overpriced "sights" and headed straight to Georgetown. Spend as much time possible exploring the Southern Rupununi, the other stuff is in our eyes overpriced and not worth it.
