Small ger camp, they also own the hotel nearby and an homonymous travel agency. The gers are mediocre -to be kind- small and with concrete floors with holes in them, no outlets, they’ll tell you that there’s hot water running all day but that’s not true -it’s hot for a limited time. 10$ per night per person in a ger and 50’000 t per night per person in the hotel -which has hot water all day. After more than a month in Mongolia this is without a doubt the worst experience in a ger camp and with a travel agency. We were told we couldn’t do laundry, but that is not true: the receptionist just didn’t feel like it that day. Then we were told we could have breakfast at 6am, but we found ourselves locked outside of the hotel for an hour and a half.

The worst part was the travel agency: in the hotel we met a woman (her name is Bota) who said that she was part of blue wolf travel agency for 10 years but was taking some freelance jobs and that she could take us to Tavan Bogd for cheaper. We trusted her and ended up having the worst tour we could. There was no organization, right the moment before leaving she informed us about fees non mentioned before (300’000t fees, not forgettable) + the tour was four days long and she barely spoke to us, spending time with her buddy/driver instead + we received no information about Altai mountains at all + at the end of the trip she required us to pay extra money to the driver (extra 150’000t for gasoline he did not use) to basically hang out with him for two days.

Also: the trip we took in the Altai mountains could have been done without a guide.

I wish I never stayed here.

The camp is usually full and Gert cost 26,000 pp breakfast included, they offered me the Hotel next door for 50,000 private 1 person. I went to Travelers Guest House instead 20,000 pp in A Gert with a small breakfast. Try Travelers Guest House first.
