Description
Camped on the parking of Gobi Discovery camp near dunes. Parking was free, showers was 5000 Tugrik per person. Nice camp with excellent restaurant and cheap.

We camped just beside the gers. Shower/ toilet is now 15k pp. Food is only available during set mealtimes.
It was nice to meet other travelers at the camp, but there are much nicer, more secluded spots closer to the dunes.
Showers are still 10,000 MNT per person. Food was 12,000 MNT. We slept at the parking and were woken up by the Land Cruisers taking the tours to see the sunrise over the dunes, but it was worth climbing out of the tent to see the sunrise ourselves.
Report Check-InGobi Discovery 2: we camped in our roof tent in their car park. Some English is spoken if you search hard enough! 10000 tugrik for a shower. They also have a restaurant and bar. You can stay in a ger - advertised in the lonely planet at $60USD for a ger and dinner per person. Nice place. They can also arrange camel rides from here. Very close to the dunes so a good view too!
