Nice spot near Arcadia Beach State Park. No signs of No Trespassing or Private Property. It’s steep but a 2 wheel car can make it up the hill. A 4x4 would be better. There are about 2 spots to camp. A flat tent area is located up the hill from the parking area about 15 - 20 feet. No noise off the hwy. You even can see pacific coast.

Road in is steep but very short and doable in a front wheel drive promaster (with a freshly filled 25 gallon water tank that sits in the back of the van). There’s only one spot and it was already taken so we went somewhere else further inland. Totally works if it’s available. 1 bar LTE with AT&T

Stayed one night with no issues. Drove up gravel road in 2 wheel drive but we do have a Jeep. Main camping area a bit muddy so we parked and walked 15 feet to a flat area to camp. Recommend this stop. No hotels in the area open due to virus so we got lucky with this nice location. You can also hear the waves crashing!

Secluded spot minutes from Cannon Beach. Moderately steep gravel road leads to a clearing with a view of the Pacific. Use a satellite map to see exactly where the abrupt turn out is from Hwy 101, it is easier to pull off heading north, but doable heading south. The site is about a minute from the highway. To reach this site, you take the gravel road up a moderately steep hill, which then turns right and keeps climbing, after about 200 feet from the turn you take a steep spur to your left which leads to the clearing. I recommend making the initial right turn, then stop and reverse into a small unlevel pullout here to park, so you can walk up and scout the site, as there is a ditch to avoid right after you crest the steep spur to the clearing. Gravel road is doable in 2wd, but the clearing itself was a bit muddy, so I had to use 4wd while leveling out. The gravel road past this site makes a loop, with low branches at the back end so no through way, and the loop section after the fork is a 4wd must, you may be able to park on the road itself where it levels out past this site, or at the fork where it begins the loop. Stayed two nights, a car drove by around sunset one night and turned around and left.
