After going up to the fortress don't take the middle way going straight ahead.
We went all the way up and then were stopped by soldiers and were not allowed up in this place.
If you take the right or left route you should be fine.
This waypoint is not in the correct place. The fortress is before the museum (coming from Khorogh) and after Intisor guesthouse on the river side. Location maps.me seems correct to me (updated?).
Report Check-InIt’s on the river side of the road. There’s a parkingspace and a sign that says ‘fortress’. Maps.me location is wrong! It’s still used as a military outlook, but the soldier manning the place was very friendly and didn’t mind our visit. Quite different from Yamchun so we enjoyed the visit.
