Coming from Salta 500m before, coming Cafayate 500m after the bridge. a very good dirt road goes down to the river. There is plenty of space for a few big rigs. Some places are well hidden from the road. Right now, this place is very clean. Please help, that this will be so in the future.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

There is a fence blocking the entrance road now. This place might needs to be marked closed.
Also a warning, as can be read on other IOverlander reviews, this river is contaminated due to livestock feces so not recommend to contact the water.
Still here in 2023. The entrance off the main road has been washed away a little but we made it through with a 2WD van. No one here and lots of nice spots. Plenty of sandflies though.
Report Check-InVery nice place, with trees and firepits, the river was almost dry when we were there but could refresh ourselves in the small stream. A cute cat stayed with us all time 🐱 a lot of insects stayed with us the whole time too!
Report Check-InBeautiful place to spend the night. The dirt road is easy to find, though coming from Cafayate it’s a very closed curve, be careful.
It’s close to the bridge where the movie “Relatos Salvajes” was filmed. There’s a parador with the sign “Relato Salvaje” 😅 and you can find the burnt car and the bridge from one of the stories of the film.
If you haven’t watched it yet, go ahead and do it. It’s one of the best Argentinian films yet.
Good place to stay for a night. Plenty of space. Beautiful view on the mountains.
Report Check-InVery nice place next to the river.stayed for one night. River water was not celar because of rains but the place is very nice
Report Check-InPerfect spot, bit of road noise in the evening and morning but quiet overnight. The only surprise we had were two friendly fisherman who arrived at 4.30 am
Report Check-InExcellent place for the night! Very quiet and clean. Lots of places to tuck into without being seen from the road.
