Very very nice place next to Nadia's house and her restaurant, new showers and toilets very clean.
Closest place to the waves to camp :)
Family is lovely, 40 pesos p.p/p.night

Not specifically this place, but it doesn't matter; this goes for the whole town.
If you prefer being out of the direct presence of narcos with assault rifles, it is probably best to avoid this place from the last weekend of June to the first weekend in July.

Stopped at El Río, The campground next door (also nice) and soon discovered that the entire area was completely full of narcos with assault rifles, and that there was an absolutely massive sound system -like you'd find at an arena sized concert for a major touring act- set up right next door. In fact, the generators for the show were blocking vehicle access to this place.
It was the local narco boss's daughter's quinceanera, and I guess all of the allied narco bosses were also there.

I talked to a local, and he told me that, even though this is the biggest anyone has ever seen, they have a party here every year.

Nothing bad happened, but it's a scene I figure most travelers would genuinely prefer avoiding, so I figured I'd share this info. There's a great spot about 4.5 miles to the south, right on the ocean, with palapas and a restaurant.

So much more than just a parking next to restaurant. They have palapas on the beach, their place is the closest to the water. You can park the car under the palapas or your tent, camper we parked under the small palms on the beach - shade all day and mountain breeze. Toilets and bathrooms are clean and new.
This place is great for surfing, every day from 7am there would be people in the water, the waves are great.
There is no service and you can go for WiFi to the camp next to this place. Certainly recommend to stay here, first time we spend 5 nights in a row on one place for 50pp - absolutely earthy price.
