beautiful environment, possibility for kajak, riverrafting, MTB, horse riding, hiking, yoga and meditation....their focus is not on overlanders, however, very friendly German owners and still possible to stay here in a van.

Stayed here for the night. May be I did not read the sign thst this place was closed but Oade, a German guy let me stay here for thr night. The cost for parking lot camping was $5(120L). A very nice place, Jungla restaurant has grray food too. The next morning I went for 1 hr hike on Trail 3. The trail is marked beautifully. There is a water tap in the parking lot that you can fill your tank too.

Not sure if you can park here anymore. We pulled in and nobody was at reception, so we walked around to the pool area looking for an employee.

A guy in a blue shirt came running up to us to say we can’t have a dog. We had our dog on a leash. Didn’t say hello or anything. I told him we were looking for someone at reception and he just said ‘no dogs’. 😅 So we left.

We paid 10USD for a night in the parking lot. Nice bathrooms/toilets. Very nice owners and staff and the place is beautiful and cozy. Nice pool. Good food and homemade bread/icecream.
No view to the river.
It had't rained for a long time so the water level was low everywhere.
Would definitely go back (ideally in or after the raining season). Recommended.

$5USD per person to camp in our van. It is a small parking lot but there was a good balance of shade and sun so our solar panels DID get lots of sun throughout the day. We did the half-day white water rafting tour (dry season) but we had a great time! The guides were fun, took us to do some hiking, river swimming, cliff jumping, and white water rafting. Usually, they charge $60USD per person for the tour but we were able to negotiate it to $35USD per person since there was a group of 6 of us. The tour included a delicious lunch and all of the equipment you'll need.

The Lodge has clean toilets, showers, good WiFi, natural pool, three hiking trails around it (ranging from 30 minutes to 120 minutes in duration), a bar (their happy hour 4:00-5:00), lots of hammocks, lounging areas, and a full restaurant. The food was simply delicious but being on a budget, we decided to share one meal for dinner (2 of us), and that was enough. The rest of the time, we ate our own food. One of the days, we walked from the Lodge to Pico Bonito Visitor Center (a short 10-minute walk) and did the hike to the waterfalls. So if you're interested in that as well, this is a good location for it. On our last day, we did Laughter Yoga for the first time as it was offered at the Lodge for 80HNL. The owners and staff were wonderful so I wanted to include this because it's a different experience than what others described. Oh, and their big dogs very friendly and playful. Recommended!

We came here as we planned to spend a few weeks on the islands and couldn't afford $5 a day parking at the port.

When we arrived around 8pm they wanted $2 a day parking because we are a 'big' van (long wheel base Dodge Ram) after some negotiation we agreed $1.50 (said we had friends here a few weeks back who paid only $1 but they did stay a night in the accommodation whereas we slept in the van) so this also may have been why there was a price increase initially.

Camping is $5pp - the option to stay in their tent wasn't so inviting, it'd been left open for bugs to get in and full of tissues so we opted for our van.

Admittedly we felt the same that they don't welcome campers as such. That being said, we stayed here a few nights either side of nearly four weeks on the Bay islands and they are really nice people. The staff and the food are amazing! The only thing is it's a holiday type resort with everything you'd want from a holiday lodge - it's just expensive for travellers. For the quality of service and food it's not unreasonable as the place is really beautiful nestled up in the jungle but it's super remote so you have to depend on their services.

A big bag of washing of done in a day for $6.

The place they like you to park is mainly shaded so if you want sun for while you're away from the van that's unlikely. We came back to a flat battery and a van full of mould so we'd have preferred a sunnier spot.

My advice would be to contact them first through their Omega FB page to check ahead availability etc. They respond quickly. The taxi to the port is $18 each way.

We did not liked it here. We had the feeling they don't like people in campers so we stayed for one day and left. They often have power cuts. Tours were expensive for us, we were able to visit the same places for much less money. Cold showers. Swimming pool. Beautiful surroundings. Poor internet (when there was power). 10 usd per night.

Not a great place to sleep in the car. But great otherwise. Dogs ok.
