Worst hotel that we have been to on our complete journey from Europe. No electricity, No proper running water, therefore no hot water at all, heating turned off some time at night and it was freezing even in sleeping bags. The room and bathroom is filthy. We were giving the choice when entering Quetta the tell them our hotel of choice and when we did they said they didn’t know our hotel. Absolutely horrible how overlanders get treated when entering Pakistan!

Awful hotel with awful manager. We really pushed with the escort to take us to the police station, but the guys refused. We were 1 van and 1 small car. Van + 2 people - 1.500 rupees. The travelers from the small car slept in the hotel - 3.500 rupees per room. Notice that the domestic fare is 2.000 rupees and in the rooms after midnight there is no heat, no electricity, no water whatsoever hot or cold. The next morning we tried again to speak to the police and take us away from this place. Nothing. Than the travelers from the small car called the police in Germany (they have German passaports) and through the ambassy which called here in Quetta, we where able to leave. If you can, push harder with the escort, this is hotel is a total scam! And we found out from the travelers who slept in the hotel that the rooms are dirty and unpleasant.

Don't go. I paint with a pen on our passport. He wanted to keep our passports. We told him no, that we would wait for them until he had just collected the information. In a very rude way, he told us no. until we got him to return our passport. The police bring you here. Better go to the police station. its workers very friendly. The horrible owner. We slept in the parking lot for €2, and WiFi. Our cycling companions said there was no heating and the rooms were dirty

If you can, avoid this place! We wanted to stay at the police station but the escort dropped us off at the hotel and left. The owner is a scammer and every 5 minutes he told us a different price to sleep in our van in the parking lot. We told him to call the police to take us to the police station and he called one of his friends to trick us and tell us that you couldn't sleep at the police station (in iOverlander reviews it is possible). It was 23:00 and we didn't feel like arguing anymore, so we paid 1200 rp for 2 people and vehicle. The staff is very friendly but the owner is a tough guy

awful management, super corrupt. they are in cahoots with the police, and the police will problably bring you here, no matter what you say.

they make a decent dinner (very spicy) and a good breakfast with eggs, all though it's a bit small.

they have a nice garden, which is suitable for relaxation.

wifi only works in reception, showers is mostly cold, randomly very hot.

okay price though. got a private room for 3500 rupees.(3000 without breakfast)

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews about this hotel. The price/quality is fine. Bloom Star is a real overlander Hotel. If you're on your way from Taftan, you've probably already slept in police stations with appalling sanitation. Bloom star is really a relief. Motorcycles or cars are safely parked in the private parking lot and they do not make it difficult to make a (delicious) meal late at night.

The rooms are dated, the beds dusty and the sanitary facilities basic. But much better than a police station and most travelers bring their own sleeping gear anyway. I slept in the room with 2 other motorcyclists and paid less than €5 p.p.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The owner tries to help you where he can. The garden is a lovely peaceful oasis in the city. Are you hesitating between police station or Bloom Star? Choose Bloom Star.

Maybe the staff changed after Covid? I expected way worse. Yes, the manager needs some course in anger management but he was there only when I arrived. If he treats his employees like this I can imagine that it has an effect on them. But in my experience the staff was very friendly as I threated them well too. I spend four nights here and payed 3000 rupees per night for single room including little breakfast.
Even when I got sick they cared a lot about my health and helped me to get trought this. Didn’t have the feeling to be alone in a unknown place.
The bathroom was not european standard clean but way better then the police stations on the way to Quetta. I think it was okay for this area.

I don't understand where the fuss is about.
we arrived late, so the noc was not open and we where to tired to argue.

we payed 20 euro for a double and 15 for a single (same rooms).

the sheet was dirty so I asked for a replacement and they cleaned it. the showers only have cold water.
the breakfast is included and it's toast with eggs and thea.

it's not to clean, but after reading the reactions on this app I was scared to go here, but for one night it's absolutely no problem. it beats the police stations by a stretch.

The people was very nasty to us only because we said we wanted to go to police station. We have a camping car and not need a room. They wanted to charge 10€ per night only for parking here and sleep in our van. No facilities. When we finally said we where not willing to pay finally they accept to take us to police station.
I am just surprise this business don’t stop. They are taking advantages of us which is not nice.

We couldn't stay at the police station as there were too many policemen? So we had to go to Bloomstar Hotel. We paid 4000rp for a double room. It isn't the best, but I expected way worse according to the reviews on iOverlander. It wasn't possible to camp here. The WiFi isn't great and the rooms are cold, the shower was warm though.

STAY AT THE POLICE STATION!!! This guy is the best rip off artists I've ever seen. They will try and bring you here multiple times. But INSIST on the police station. I got some random kids to buy me food (because you can't leave) and even they know about this place. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Very rude management, don’t stay here , ask the police that you want to sleep at the police station, unless you want to have shower and internet. you will need one day to get the NOC , if you are not on a motorcycle, don’t stay here .The hotel management will lie on you and they don’t call the police if you need to go out . They charge you for breakfast and they don’t give unless you insist. If you need hotel try some where else

Horrible place - don’t go here if you can avoid it!!!! We arrived around midnight in Quetta and had to stay 2 nights. They charged us 3000 rupees for sleeping in the car - per night! We argued and argued but we also could not leave, because for that we need a police escort. Bad luck and it spoiled our impression of Pakistan, sadly. Also the place is full of rubbish, but I guess that is just what happens if the managing staff is more interested to look into their mobile phones than managing a place

Try to avoid this place.

Staff is very rude, laughs behind your back and doesn’t call the police escort for you. Problaby the worst hotel we have had in 5 months travelling.

They asked for 1000 rupees per person for sleeping in car, but after hours of bargaining we managed to get it to 800 rupees per person including WiFi and shower. Two bikers we followed with stayed in double room. They were asked 2000 rupees per person but got it for 2500 for both of them for the cheapest room.
We agree that management is corrupt, but the whole system around is corrupted so it is hard to blame them.

Totally corrupt place. Agree with Backroad Vagrants info. Levies dropped us here. Hotel Mgnt is using their position and try to force you to stay here.
Insist with Levies to be brought to police station, you can camp there!
Paid 700 Rupee per person to sleep in car.

Worst place we have encountered between Germany and here. They totally use their position that you don't have any other choice. Charged 4000 rupees for our friends double. we hate to pay 800 rupees camping fee per person to sleep in our car. You cannot leave the hotel and check out others hotel rates once you are here, as they just will not call an escort. Very rude and unfriendly staff that constantly lied and thought we would not realize that. NOC usually valid one day after it is issued, so you have to stay for at least two nights. If possible, ask the police to bring you to another place in town. Besides the 5 star Serena, the Lourdes should also accept foreigners. Or book a room in advance via a local or try https://www.sastaticket.pk/

Room Costs 4000 rupees for us to expensive so we sleep in the car (enclosed parking for 1600 rupees). You can use toilet and wifi and hang around in the reception area. Everybody is really welcoming and helpful. In the morning they will call the police so they can escort you to the home ministry to arrange your NOC. You are not allowed to leave the Hotel without escort. We can recommend this place nice people and safe place.

Rooms with double bed are 1500 rupee a night. Hot showers and wifi in reception area. Gated parking. The hotel will help arrange the NOC for travel to the Iranian border too.

Nice hotel with gated parking where you can camp. The hotel has a nice garden inside and gives peaceful feeling.
