There must be serious inflation here, as we had to pay 5usd but per person instead 5usd for the camper. We discussed a bit but no way to reduce and we did not feel to drive off. Also, nobody was there when we arrived and it took 2 hours before we knew the price! Basic pit toilets and shower. In our opinion, not worth the money.

This place has for sure seen better days, but good enough for one night. Nice cold showers, rustic pit toilets. Owner nice. Grassy place to park

Report Check-In

The place is really off the beaten track and rustic. The way up here can only be made by a 4x4 car and good clearance. As we arrived it was very muddy and rainy. There are two pit toilets which are quite smelly and the shower has only very cold water. There is no Wi-Fi neither there is an electricity hook up possible. Also there is not really an area were you could cook or eat or so. Also they have three dogs on the property. It is 142 cordoba/5$ per car for the night.

The drive through la Reserva Miraflor was beautiful!!! Coming from Somoto the drive through the dirt road was about 25km more or less. There was a river crossing lost of mud, puddles and some section were a little rougher. We drive slow the through the farms and the hills. It was very enjoyable. Marcial was the person in charge as the oweners weren't there. $5 usd to camp. Nice clean pit toilets, cold shower. The place is very quite and temperatures are cool. You can walk around the house and cabins in the farm but if you want to take a longer hike you need to pay $15 usd per group (4 people max). Cabins, dorms and meals are also available. The highlight for us was the drive.

The 23 km up to Finca Lindos Ojos was a dirt road. Quite long, but a beautiful scenery. The Finca is in low season basically a small grassy field, which needs a lot of levelling before you can sleep. Clean pit toilets (seat broken in the ladies) and cold shower. Because of the rain the way down 23 km was more adventurous than we bargained for with big muddy potholes and slippery slopes. But we made it. Cost 128 cordobas (no change available, we paid 150 cordobas).

Super nice place. Bring levelers. No electricity or WiFi but really quiet. Owner Catharina (catharina) is very welcoming, speaks English, german and spanish. Gave us free a wonderfull Free Tour around her finca. They produce organic vegetables, fruit, coffee. Make their own cheese. Do nice food. Climate is very cool compared to the rest of the country. No tentcamping but there are cabanas. Space for a few midsized rigs. Nice hiking and horseriding around the property.

This finca is still here. Camp on grassy front lawn with nice bathrooms (cold showers) shared with lodge rooms. They also have private cabins for about 65 usd including 3 meals. Not a bad deal. Horseback riding is excellent and cheap. 30 usd for two people for over 2 hours with a guide and nice horses. Very laid back place run by nice people. Road in was good with no problems in May. Worth a stop during dry season if you are into farm animals, riding and to check out Miraflor. No supplies around so stock up first. No wifi,
