Turn off the highway here and follow the compacted gravel and dirt road around to the right. It goes 1.5 miles (2.5 km) into a valley of towering rock formations with multiple spots where you can pull off into before the road turns to sand. We saw a Bedouin camp nearby, but no one stopped by our camp, and it's obviously a place locals come to drive in the sand dunes.
This is a place you could easily spend days exploring and photographing, and has room for multiples big rigs. We could even get so-so data on our phones.

clearly, there is a gravel road underneath but it is now covered with deep sand and therefore no longer accessible to 2WD
Report Check-InGreat spots to camp around this place! We camped at another place but there are plenty of nice options here
