LOCATION IS CORRECT
Khaya Nyasica is a 50 acre, peaceful, small holding 15 Kms to the NE of Lusaka. It is one of the few remaining patches of indigenous bush close to the capital. It is easily accessible by good tar roads. 20 mins from the Great East/Airport roundabout, 15 mins from the Great North Road. It is 20 mins from town/shops and
5 mins from Bonanza Golf club (restaurant). It is 15 mins from Lusaka Airport.
Accommodation is a choice of a thatched Rondavel with Kingsize bed and bathroom or camping with the use of the Rondavel bathroom. There is a lot of space to park a vehicle with a rooftop tent. The whole property is secured by an electric fence with electric gate. This is a great place to spend a peaceful night away from the noise of the city and among fabulous bird life and a small herd of Angoni cattle. Camping is $10 pppn and the cottage $40 pn. A lovely little place run by a fabulous couple. At present they only allow one vehicle/group to stay at a time, either in the chalet or camping, so peace is guaranteed. If camping you get to use the chalets toilet and shower. They also have a sink and fridge etc which is super helpful. It is a very peaceful spot with cows wandering through, we loved it.
Report Check-InThis place is very (!) easy to find. MAPS.ME or Google will take you to that exact location and there is no way to get lost. For us it is inconceivable not to find this place.
Angus and Caroline are the friendliest and most helpful people we have ever met. We immediately felt very comfortable.
The cottage is newly renovated, there is now a wonderful outdoor kitchen with a gas hob and hot and cold running water, there is electricity and strong wifi.
The cottage itself is lovingly furnished, with an excellent, orthopedic mattress, which is heavenly to sleep on. We actually wanted to camp, but when we saw the cottage we immediately wanted to stay in it.
It's wonderful to have such a peaceful and tranquil place to stay in the Lusaka area.

Report Check-InNice and quiet spot to camp next to rondavel- we used the rondavel shower and toilet. Suitable for rig with rooftop tent. Clean drinking water from borehole. Angus&Caroline can supply electricity if needed. Safe grounds within electric fence. Angus&Caroline are friendly hosts. Recommend to call ahead as there is only one camp site available. Price is still $10/pppn. Lovely stay outside of Lusaka.
Report Check-InI cannot speak highly enough of Angus and Caroline. All of the reviews are absolutely right, but none of the reviewers seem to have been ill on arrival like I was! I’ve not been better cared for on my entire journey, I was on a slippery slope. And the information, advice, experience and help is endless. Not to forget extremely comfortable and convenient to be here
Anyone flying into Lusaka would be hard pushed to find a better place for their first day/night
Report Check-InVery nice private single place for camping in an open bush belt, also suitable for BigRig up to about medium size. The bathroom of the Rondavel can be used for campers. If necessary, a power cable is provided for drawing electricity. The water comes from its own borehole and is of drinking water quality. The owners, Angus and Caroline, are very helpful and hospitable. Here you get information beyond the Overlander scene. It is a good 20 minutes to the Great North Shopping Mall with Shoprite and Pick'n Pay on Great North Road. To the East Park Mall on the great East Road about 30 minutes. The place is located in a rural area on the outskirts of Lusaka and is mostly quiet, very quiet at night.
