Camping possible along sea front. Free. Left, far end from town. Better as near police station and quieter. No facilities.
On the seafront, on the right side of the beach, between some restaurants, there is a public shower. It is well hidden, you have to look carefully.

We slept here 2 days on weekends. It was busy during the day and evening but super chill at night. Everything is walking distance in SJDS from this spot. We really enjoyed San Juan, lots of cute coffee and restaurants

The entire Malecón is a good place to stay. There are always parking spaces. We spent a few nights there without any problems. It's a little noisy because it's the main street in town, so it's the noise you'd expect from a place like this. No facilities nearby, we also didn't find a Wi-Fi signal.
Report Check-InWe spend 3 nights here no problem we ask the police and they told us is very safe area but a bit noisy on the weekends and fisher man start to prep their boat at 5am. Other that that perfect spot to explore the town.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night here. Too noisy for us. A lot of traffic (motorcycle during the night is very noisy). Safe and nice place though.
Report Check-InWe slept here one night, safe and quiet. We didn’t find free WiFi. A local person said to us that on weekends is not quiet.
Report Check-InWe spent 1 night parked on the street near the fish market. It was perfectly fine, safe quiet. We were told it gets crowded and noisy on the weekends.
Report Check-InStayed a few days here. Very convenient located. Short walk to the city. On a weekend it’s close to a club to have a nice night out. Plus nice views on the beach. Good for a place in the city 👍🏻
Report Check-InGreat place to stay. There are bathrooms at the port, but no toilet paper. Outside showers on the beach. Free wifi at the port and park for children. Walking distance to buy anything you may need. It feels safe as there is a security guard at the port almost the whole day.
Report Check-InFree WiFi now available!.! 😄
Not much shade but the wind really makes up for it.
Spend two peaceful and fresh nights here, we went to fish to the port and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with the fish we got. Fishmen were really helpful as it was our first time fishing so we were really happy with our dinner. We stayed on week days so cannot say if during weekend is so peaceful. Totally recommend, at the port there are toilets you can use for free but remember to take your own paper as there is none. No showers, there are two at the beach but don,t work.
Report Check-InMuito tranquilo e aparentemente seguro para estar e dormir. Não tivemos problemas algum. A cidade é bonita e a praia também.
Report Check-Invery great place for stay 2 or 3 night ! the beach is really great
Report Check-InNot sure why people say it is safe. Stayed one night and had our passenger side door lock broken. Two bags and an iPod taken. We were almost right across from Victoria hotel. And this was between 6-930pm.
Report Check-InSting wind when we were. Calm beach like a lake and so bealtiful. It's possible to spend the day on "Playa Maderas", a bealtiful place. There is free WiFi on "Parque Central".
Report Check-InWild camping on the malecón. Nice place in front of the beach but no services. We parked in front hotel Victoriano.
Report Check-InFree beach front public street parking on side of road. Quietest spot close to town with least amount of foot traffic, though still some.Trash cans.
Report Check-InFree boondocking basically on the seaside street of the town. Some party noise from the nearby bars, but not intensive. No amenities.
Report Check-InGood to stay and in walking distance to Town. Unfortunatly they build a cruiseship Harbor here and this space will be the entrance. We got the Internet Key from the nearby Hostel Sunset for free.
Report Check-InCamping possible along sea front. Free. Left far end from town better as near police station and quieter. No facilities.
