Something not right?

Description

Free BLM campground alongside a small creek. Several sites are shaded. Pit toilets are located on both ends of the campsite. The road in is gravel/dirt but very well kept.

I had very spotty Verizon 3G in parts of the campground but excellent service near the road/above the canyon.

Happy Camping!

Latest Check-Ins

Really wanted to stay here but there were thousands of Mormon crickets everywhere and I had no cell service with Verizon. Unfortunately I had to roll out. Maybe next time!

Nice BLM campground. Vaults, trash cans, picnic tables and dressing hooks for your deer or elk. Trails at the east end are endless.
Melting snow has the creek roaring! Was a fire through here but it's growing back.
Google maps from the South is off, you can take that road but it's rough.

What an awesome little free campground! Nice little creek flowing through, great views of the nearby mountains, gorgeous stars at night, trees for shade in some of the spots, and overall a pretty quiet area except for some occasional truck traffic on the main dirt road. The access road is in good shape, accessible by any vehicle.
Clean pit toilets, although there was no toilet paper or hand sanitizer when I was here so be sure to bring your own. There are also trash cans throughout the campground, so no excuse not to keep it clean!
I had decent cell service with ATT, between 1 and 3 bars of lte.

Except for the mining truck traffic nearby, this place was nice.

This was a nice place, about 20 miles of I-80 south of Battle Mountain. Our site and those nearby had few trees due to a precious fire but some sites do have some nice cottonwoods. Very clean vault toilets. Best part: a babbling brook right outside our door!

BLM camp. Nice spot about 4 miles of good gravel off Hwy 305. We got a site in the shade of some big cottonwoods. A couple of other rigs parked down the way, but no one there--these looked like they might be hunters' camps. Very clean restrooms. Bring your own water, but there are tables, bbq grates and trash bins. In early October, the stream was still running, quite pleasant.

Worth the detour for some goddamn peace and quiet. Got here easily in my car. No one else camped here. Bathroom was nice and clean. There are tables, fire pits, and grills. It was lovely and free.
