Gravel road off the road-95. About 1-2 miles in, several felt isolated spots to camp.
Beautiful sunset and sunrise views.
Quiet, almost no noise from the road.
Turn North at McCutcheon Flat.
If wet/rainy, good chance to get stuck - the mud is super slippery.
No cellular service.
2bars ATT & T-Mobile

Beautiful, quiet spot. We didn’t drive all the way to the pictured spot. But we walked over. Really, any spot is good. No one here. We had 2 bars signal AT&T & T-Mobile.
Great place for overnight. To find it, you turn North on mud road at McCutcheon Flat. Beware! Much of the road is desert sand/playa. Which means it will not support a vehicle when wet! There are plenty of indications of sunk wheels and effort to unstick.
It had precipitated recently, but road was passable for truck with slide in camper. Still, if soggy, be careful.
Report Check-InThis is a nice place for a one night stop. Nice views of the open range and distant mountains. I would not drive back in here if it had rained. One note of warning don’t take a walk down that old Iona highway there is an illegal BLM dumping ground about 3 miles down that dirt road.
