There is a spot right off the main dirt road on the way to Mt Silverheels, right before a turnoff for 183. A River is about 50 yards away and creates a great background noise to sleep to. A camper would be a tight squeeze but a truck or van could easily fit. There is a fire pit and about 4-5 tent spots but very close to the road. After 2 hours, nobody has driven by.

Road closed until June 1st not a winter spot although the gate to the closed road is technically within the national forest. It’s flat and will do for an overnighter
This is the southern entrance to the forest from Beaver Creek Trai
Little pull out on side of road. Bigger one just ahead, river access. 1 bar Verizon LTE
