Description

Hotel on river with excellent viewing platform for wildlife under reconstruction after big flood. Apparently happy for overlanders before flood. No sign of elephants yet but the night is young! 3000cfa pp with use of a bathroom in the hotel. Night watchman even when underconstruction. Should reopen late 2016. At date of writing alone at beautiful location. Liz & James

Latest Check-Ins

CLOSED. Looks like it had been abandoned for some time. A shame, as it is in a great location on the river.

Report Check-In

6,000 CFA for two people and a car which is expensive for basically no facilities (toilet and shower in a cabin are available for use by campers). No elephants as the waterhole is dry. Very peaceful place.

Report Check-In

Still under construction. We camped for 3000cfa per person. Toilet beside the bar, shower in cabin but only if its vacant. No running water outside of the cabins to wash hands or plates. We made our own food but dinner is available for 6000cfa per person. Nice cold beers (Brakina 1000cfa) and hot coffee (Instant Nescafe 500cfa). We stayed 24 hours but no elephants. Very peaceful and we enjoyed camping there.

I been here 10 years ago and it was a wonderful place managed by a Corse guy.
Now it is a mess after the Corse give up the campament and locals managed it. Now it is in ruin and they don't want to rebuild.
But the location is so nice. Bring your water and food.

We asked for rooms, 22.000 sefas per night. Dinners 6000. It was too expensive for us so we didnt stay.

Report Check-In

The reconstruction is not yet done, but the place is open. The piste to the place is a bit rough, though . 3000 cfa pp for camping. Nice rooms are also available, we didn't ask about the room's price. The dinner would have been 6000 cfa pp. Excellent place for spotting elephants.
