people here are scam artists, got here on 9/03 and the first i did was to pay the woman that checked me in. Didn't gave me a receipt. The next day a gentleman asked for the money regarding the next stay. Later that day another gentleman asked me for the money again and upon calling the woman she said that i didn't pay her for the first day. They we're trying to charge me 5000 pesos but since i got a small car and a small budget we agreed on 3000p. The outlets burned my adapter and the toilets are dirty. I strongly don't recommend staying here only if that is your last option.

grande camping na entrada da cidade, churrasqueiras, ponto de energia, chuveiros com agua quente. Wifi 10mb download e upload 2mb

Report Check-In

ohrafaelmartins: A nice campsite with hot showers, but internet is only available in one spot with slow speed. The cost is 2000 Argentine pesos per person, plus an additional 1000 pesos for a city car.

Report Check-In

Spacious area, with lots of toilets and showers (all very clean). There is no reception. Very near road, but sufficiently quiet. Paid 5000 for two persons plus roof tent.

Report Check-In

This place is expensive and sucks but no other options in Cafayate. Came in mid-December, super hot and pool is still empty. Bathrooms and showers mostly broken doors, missing water knobs. Sites infested with ants. Wifi barely works. Also guy knocked on the door to be paid at 10:30pm at night. Fellow Overlanders need to quit leaving early without paying. You’re making people crazy about getting their money. Moved 30min south to Hosp. Colalao much nicer and pool is full.

Report Check-In

High price per night 9 USD (2000 p.P + 4000 Camper), dusty place. showers and toilet are dirty. Pool closed. very slowly WiFi

Report Check-In

The place is completely overpriced. Everything is relatively old, showers are warm but 30 years old. We paid 8000 pesos for parking and showering. You can stand anywhere in the city for free. We wouldn't come here again.

Report Check-In

5000 ARS for 2 people & car, 8000 with motorhome.
Central, lot of sanitary facilities. Cleanliness more or less ok. Dusty and windy.
Pool is empty, so quite expensive for off-season.

Report Check-In

Sandy and windy place. Quiet at night, old but clean amenities, WIFI near the center of the place. No other services, we paid 8000 Pesos (2 adults, one camper), a bit overpriced!

Excelentes instalaciones, camping caro para Argentina, 8 us$ por un motorhome y dos personas, 3 us$ por una persona en carpa. Wifi regular

Report Check-In

Perfect rustic camping. Hot shower, toilet and electricity. We paid 3000 pesos per night for 2 people

Report Check-In

Great location to stay if you want to walk to Cafayate's down Town. Very close to everywhere. Showers and toilets ok, wifi close to sanitariums. Not many places to fill your water tanks. There's a bicycle Road in front that's just amazing for strolling by the winneries.

Report Check-In

Okay camping. Spots are not all to flat. Site is dusty sand all around, there is no clean paved path even to the toilets, so be prepared everything will get covered in dust. Sanitair building has inhumane conditions, 7°C inside in the morning due to lacking heating and none of the windows have glass.. people will get sick taking a shower. Hot shower, no hot water for doing dishes, slow WiFi. Close to the road on both sides, so bit noisy but we slept okay.

Report Check-In

Nice camping with large places for tents and campervans (no hightlimits), bbq facilities. Paid 4.000 pesos for 2 persons and a campervan. Very nice hot shower. Toilets are kind of worn out but relatively clean.

Report Check-In

Well looked after campsite not quite far enough from town for a quiet sleep if you're in a tent. Great for motorhomes. Plenty of international travellers. A bit dusty but plenty of shade from the sun. Lots of clean hot showers with somewhere to stack your clothes and toilets cleaned daily. WiFi only good close to the central buildings.
Saturday 5am. Hurrah! the disco has closed. Maybe I can get some sleep after all the motos have ferried their shouting passengers home. Look forward to the same Sunday morning.

Great place - but make sure you have your ear plugs in place on a weekend. Two discotheques will keep you awake otherwise.

Report Check-In

We spent 4 nights here. 2500 pesos for 2 with a small van. Great showers, HOT! Quiet at night and very close to town. No one at the reception but the same guy passes every night between 6pm and 8pm to take your money. Highly recommend this camping !

Report Check-In

Lugar super seguro, bem na entrada da cidade (quem vem do sul). Minha esposa e eu ficamos 3 noites dormindo dentro do carro e pagamos $3.000/noite. Tem Wifi, mas não muito bom. Íamos a pé ate o centrinho. Espaço para todo tipo de carro e motorhome, inclusive caminhões. @esticaedalee

Report Check-In

Excelente opción! Amplio y seguro, baños limpios y en cantidad, duchas calientes, algunas mesas son techadas y entra la carpa abajo. Hay wifi pero no llega a todo el predio y se corta. La atención cordial. Muy cerca del centro. Precio acorde, $1000 x persona, $400 x auto y $400 x carpa. Super recomendable.

Report Check-In

A good spot within easy walk of the town square and many wineries. Also appears to be the only option at present as the neighbor is closed.
Pricing is still ARS1000 per person and 400 for the vehicle.

Finding a spot for the vehicle requires a little manouvering thanks to the many short poles placed around campsites but is manageable

Report Check-In

We stayed until the end of the year. Large camping, with barbecue, water point and electricity and wi-fi works close to the administration. The pool was closed. There is no reception, they charge in the car. Hot showers with good pressure but closed at night. It is very close to the center. We paid $1500 pesos (2 people and a defender). We were told that in the year 2023 the price would be $3000 pesos (2 people and a car) 😒

Ficamos até a virada do ano. Camping grande, com churrasqueira, ponto de água e eletricidade e wi -fi funciona próximo a administração. A piscina estava interditada. Camping bem localizado, os banheiros limpos mas sem lugar para pendurar sacolas, ou colocar shampoo, cuidado muitas áreas tem arames baixos , rompemos um com nossa Van, sorte que não danificou.

The camping is well structured. There is drinking water, hot shower, enough areas with trees, tables and barbecue grills. There is also a manual hoop for washing. Very quiet and quiet. Wi-Fi is a bit slow and picks up only at some campsite points. It is close to the square and the main road of the city. We paid $ 500 weights per person + $ 200 weights for the vehicle.

Report Check-In

Nice Campsite, we had no WiFi on our site, empanadas were pretty good, small kiosque, pool was open again.

Report Check-In

Camping ótimo , com banheiros bons e um chuveiro excelente! Muito bem localizado! Nos cobraram ARS 550,00 por 2 pessoas e motorhome.

Report Check-In

If you have a big rig don't come here in the summer season, limited spots. We decided to street camp near the main plaza. Not as far to walk when you've done a few wine tastings and dinner. Lol.

Report Check-In

Sorry, but not impressed! Unfortunately checked in before realising the other 2 that are marked almost next door as closed are now open or would have gone elsewhere. Actually be better camping on the river 100 m on than here. Crowded, muddy (torrential rain so toilets look like a refuge camp with everyone drying out), blocked and dirty loos, used tampax on the soap tray in shower, too many barking stray dogs. In its favour, the water is piping hot. And we paid 550 for 2 with car and tent. Good heap tortillas at gate though!

Report Check-In

500 for 2P and motor home. Problems to find a nice place with a car height of 2,7 m! clean hot showers. Neighbours with incredible loud music during the whole night.

Report Check-In

price was 150 pp and 100 for a tent

Report Check-In

They ask 100 peso's per person 80 per tent and another 100 for a car. The WiFi is really really bad everywhere.

Report Check-In

Motorhome plus 2 people still ARS 350 (wanted to charge ARS 50 additional for our pickup truck, but relented when we said we were staying for 3 nights -- otherwise no discounts for long stays).

Showers ok, with warm water from 7AM until midnight, and good wifi near the showers (1.5MB/s down, unfortunately with frequent interruptions).

Not a lot of sites could accommodate our 7.2m-long and 3.2m-high motorhome, just 2 or 3 -- so keep this in mind if you're coming here with a big rig.

Report Check-In

180 pp in a tent. Went to the municipal one which was closed, I slept in it anyway

Report Check-In

As described. Spacious site. Large bathroom and shower block which were clean when I was here. Nice hot water. Ar$150 for vehicle. Ar$100 for adult. No discount for longer stays but it's a fair price
Swimming pool under maintenance when I was here. Lots of power points, water, wifi. No height restrictions. Close to town and Bodegas. It's the only one out of the 3 marked that is open at this time of year.

Report Check-In

After all: especially in the afternoon an early evenings Cafayate is a dusty town. Also all the Camping sites. So we left the town and went 20 km north to San Carlos. Really green, silent and cool campsite. Look San Carlos

Report Check-In

Nice place, next downtown, WiFi but some spots! 350 pesos for 2 p and motor home

Report Check-In

It was Argentine school vacation time so lots of families. Fee was collected in the evening and price was 300 pesos for two adults and our rig. Great showers. Ten minute walk to the main square. Great cell reception. Wifi speed varies. Park near banos for best signal. No TP. Overly lit at night.

Report Check-In

Nice and clean campsite 5min walk to downtown. Even have a tennis court. Showers as hot as you like. 350Ars for 2pax and a van, if you stay more then 3 nights its 300Ars.

Report Check-In

Very clean, nice showers and internet that works ok in some spots. Space for big rigs and calm surroundings. We’re on our 5th night paying 430 for 2 adults, 2 kids, a dog and a small camper

Report Check-In

Great camp spot! Quiet, good wifi, hot showers and very clean bathrooms, bbq grill. A 10-min walk to the city center, perfect to enjoy Cafayate good vibes.

Report Check-In

Basic campground 100 pesos per person and 100 pesos for the car. We paid 300 for a night. The showers are surprisingly good though - you can actually regulate the temperature perfectly and great water pressure

Report Check-In

Campground with clean bathrooms incl hot showers. Walkig distance to town. We payed 350.- for 2 pers.+van.

Report Check-In

Only campsite open in Cafayate. Guy comes every night at 8pm to collect, 350 for 2 + campervan. Saw a few cycle tourists just come in the day for hot water shower & fill up of potable water if you wanted to do that. Sandy, close to town, nice staff, nice showers & loos but no seats, hot water all day long. Safe & Quiet. Wifi was good enough to stream when we were there.

Report Check-In

Big sandy campground with hot showers, WiFi and fresh water. Very quiet at this time. We payed 350 for two and a campervan.

Report Check-In

Camping with space.
Not a lot of grass.
Space with shadow (Trees or protection).
Hot shower.
Ammunities not new.
Wifi available but slow.

Report Check-In

Big, clean site - lots of space in off season but imagine it could be crowded in high season. Good hot showers. WiFi small range but OK speed. Plenty of stray dogs + cats, but all friendly bar one dog (which I think actually belonged to another camper). Unfortunately kept awake til 5am both nights (Saturday and Sunday) by loud music from town - but don't know if that's normal! Paid 100P per adult + 100 car + 80 tent per night.

Report Check-In

price now for Motorhomes and two people 350 arg. Peso. Clean and hot showers.

Report Check-In

Nice big campsite with huge and clean toilets and hot showers. Tables, parilla and electricity at sites.

Report Check-In

The prices have changed. It's now 100 pesos per person, 80 per tent, 100 per vehicle. Cleaning and nice camping

Report Check-In

As before, all good. All other camp sites closed or empty. Really well looked after/maintenance/cleaned. All doors lock, all showers have working heads etc. Seen more nationalities here than just about anywhere! Cost 300 for 2+car+tent. We are 2+roof tent but cost same. Recommended.

Nice place, clean and quiet, close to the center. The WiFi was on and off during our stay. Didn't try the swimming pool.

Report Check-In

Bastante espaço, vários pontos de energia, churrasqueiras, mesas, algumas com coberturas. Banheiros limpos, mas algumas pias necessitam manutenção. Funcionários atenciosos. Próximo ao centrinho da cidade.

Report Check-In

Tried to charge 200pesos (80 for me solo, 120 for van). I was able to talk it down to the normal camping price of 80pp and 80 for van.
Other than that, decent place to be. Lots of people, but best spot in town.

Report Check-In

140$ for a night one person and one tent.

Report Check-In

Even on December 1st the only camping open in town for campers. Pool was full, but they did not have the right licence to let people swim :(. Large, empty, good Wi-Fi, hot showers. Some locals with music this Saturday night, but not too loud. Paid 240, 80 per adult, 80 for a tent/vehicle. Some sheltered picknick tables and bbq's. Friendly dogs and cat.

Report Check-In

Clean place, hot showers, good wifi on benches nearest shower block. Friendly staff, friendly cats (who don't belong to campground, so bring some food for them 😊). 15 min walk to town. Lots of flies, but seemed to be everywhere in town, maybe it's the season?

Walkable distance from town. Pretty town Cafayate!, but mostly, the area around : quebrada de Cafayate » is amasing! Desert with so many colors..got tomgo there at sunset...

240 pesos for 2 and a van in March.

Report Check-In

Very large loveless typical Argentinian campsite just out of town. One person came to charge 240 Pesos but did not explain anything (80 p.p. + 80 car Defender camper). People worked until past 10 PM with loud tools to fix things around the campsite. Toilets are big and clean. We did not like it. Next time we would stay wild out of town.

Report Check-In

Everything you need & good location to stay a few days. Very clean bathrooms, but weak Wifi. 170 per night/2pax with roof-tent. Recommendable.

Report Check-In

110 pesos for 1 with a car. As other people said, nice, clean with lot of space. Good value, good campsite.
Just one thing, it's written that the showers are open from 7am to 1am.

Report Check-In

Whoa we're living Argentinean campgrounds! This one was a little bit dusty but it had everything, electricity to connect to, water faucets, grills and tables and chairs everywhere, and of course, fantastic hot showers. We paid 170 for two people in a roof top tent.

Report Check-In

very nice campsite and well maintained. toilets very clean. hot water all day, shade for tents and WiFi available. only campsite opened at this time of the year in Cafayate. 10mn walking distance from main place of the town. we paid 210p per night for two adults, a tent and a car. children below 6 years old don't pay. in high season priority access is given to members of the Luz and fuerza trade union.

Report Check-In

Large camping area on dirt with tree shade. Hot showers, potable water and clean toilets, but with no toilet seats. WiFi is weak, but enough for checking emails.

Five minute walk to plaza central, easy access to many wineries. Plugs for vehicles.

Three cats, two of whom are very cuddly, but who will absolutely steal an entire chicken off your table the second you look away. But very cuddly. The one with half a tail is named Cathy. Her full-tailed sister is named Bone Cruncher, after a chicken-stealing-and-eating incident.

Report Check-In

One of the best campings we have been so far. good hot showers. Mostly clean.

We stayed here for 5 nights. While dusty, it had everything that we needed: close to town, quiet (it is offseason), good wifi, hot showers, covered picnic tables, and a swing set. They charged us 25p / adult and 40p for our van. They did not charge us for our 6 year old son, even though their policy is 10p for kids that are between 5 and 10 years old.

Report Check-In

Good price vs quality! We paid 70pesos (2 persons + car). Nice hot showers!!

Report Check-In

The charges are apparently flexible as they charged us 40 pesos for the car and 25 per person. Slightly more then we know they charged others at the same time. Wifi is on but too weak to be functional. Bit of a warning if you park to the left and near the back, the yard across the street has 3 German Shepards that barked all night long. Not sure if the camping is much better than at Rio Chuscha for 55 pesos per night.

Report Check-In

A$25/person, A$10/vehicle, and A$20/tent. Nice clean facilities, electricity near the sites, hot showers, fast internet when it works. Be careful of the Mosquitos and maybe sand fleas at night.

Report Check-In

A big dirt area with thankfully a good amount of shade. All spots have tables, grills and electrical outlets. There is pretty good wifi that you can reach if you sit near the snack shop. It can get noisy here on weekends. Showers are hot 24 hours a day! Walking distance to town and many wine tasting bodegas.

Amenities: 4.5 / price: 2 / our rating: 3. There are 6 campgrounds in town! This was the only one with campers when we pulled in.. Laundry area / snack shop / dirt lot / grills / shade / walk to centro. Slow wifi available in campsites near the snack shop. Good potable water (for the first time since the US).
