Just passed through for the day, but it looks like a few people have stayed the night in their vans and a RV in the upper lot. Signs say 72 hours max in public parking spaces. Bathrooms open 6am-10pm. LTE
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Typical RV park in that RVs are sandwiched super close together …
except there are several separate “overflow” areas in the meadow and forest that are perfect for vans, tents and very small RVs. There are also designated tent sites where you park and walk about 50’ with your gear.
Showers are only 10 minutes for $1 😳😁. Super cheap! Laundry is also available. (I haven’t checked prices yet.)
There are a couple community fire pits plus lawn games. Overall, a nice place.
You can stroll along the waterfront or take a forested hike. 2-3 bars with Verizon.
However, at $42.07 (includes tax) for dry camping in July, it’s a bit expensive, but way better than a KOA when you need water and a shower!
Report Check-InSecurity came up to us about 8pm to inform us that overnight parking was not allowed. Very nice, and said he wanted to make sure we knew just in case we had been planning to stay, as he likes to let people know well in advance, and not have to wake them up in the middle of the night.
Report Check-InHad planned on staying here but at 8:30pm got a knock from a security guard that said we were not allowed to stay. So we packed up and headed on. Maybe if you showed up later in the night it would be better but we figured it was better to just move on.
