It is somewhat flat and away from the crowd near the creek. This entire area is OHV’s. Most of the roads are made by off-road motorbikes that goes up steep terrains. Very difficult to find a leveled spot and solitude. Down by the river is flat but mostly RVs and some of them will run their gas generator all night. This mountain area in general is slanted, steep hills with mainly pine trees and some Douglas fir. Most of the flat spots are by the river or road. Mosquitoes are out but only a few so far. If planning to drive up the dirt road to better spots, good luck; not many “flat” grounds to pull off into. For those who are still reading this, please create some secluded spots with a view of the sunset. a Free campsite just east of Idaho City on a Forrest service access road.

Chill spot with great cell service. Took some work to get level in our van. Some dirt bikes and four wheelers driving by during the day. Just far enough from the RV spots down the way to not be bothered, though you could hear them partying and blaring music until late. We stayed here a few days, camping spots with cell service are hard to come by in the mountains out here and Boise isn’t great for boondocking.
Report Check-InAs described. There is sun or shade depending on how you park. Also several spots on the main road in along the creek. Good Verizon LTE. The area is unlevel but could make it work. For the non scientist type, glass and cans don't burn so just take them back home with your. Why treat your forest like this? 🌲

Report Check-Ina remote camping area that has several sites. no water no electricity no restrooms. please pack out what you bring in, it looks like it gets trashy easily.

Report Check-InI've stayed here several times over the years. No services. dirt road with area off to the side to park 4-5 rigs. very informal. From the main highway you have to cross the creek bridge and continue to the right (you can also go left for more informal free camping) then stay left at the immediate fork after that. Go past a beaver pond and just start uphill. place on the right under some trees and next to a small creek. Its only 1/8 to 1/4 mile in - not very far off the main road at all. Close to town.
