In fine weather this is a beautiful campsite on a beautiful lake. There are a number of small cabanas for camping/cooking here. Picnic tables and grills. Fairly grim toilets and showers across the highway. We didn’t have hot water although there is supposed to be. The owners run fishing trips on the lake. CH$6,000.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
so we met the owner of the land and stayed at his lodge 5km up the road. since this is private property but considered a protected preserve, the government ordered the land owner to close the camping and dismantle the ranger station due to major landslide and rock falling hazards from the matador. it's unfortunate. the owner told us that chances are no one will bother you right now if you boondock out of site but tents are a big no-no. we suggest camping at his lodge 5km north on the 7, on the left. can't miss it. we stayed two nights at the lodge in the cabanas and feel it's one of the best stops we've made in 18months. if you're low on cash, try boondocking here but if you don't mind a few pennies try camping or rent a Cabaña at the lodge. the owner also runs fishing trips until April for $20usd. great guy, worth meeting.
Report Check-Incabanas have been dismantled parking area is still open and large small beach/launch nobody here to collect pesos FREE
Report Check-Inwhen we arrived signs says that it were closed but looks cause risks of falling rocks. but rocks were so far and Camp was so Good that we sleep there. Perfect!
since its closed, no facilities avaiable...
Report Check-Inthey appeared to have burned everything down.... also there's a sign that is only a picknick area now and your not allowed to spend the night here.
it still is a beautiful place to have a picknick, sadly with no shelter left....
Report Check-InStill no one here to collect the fee. We pitched our tent in a cabin which provided a nice respite from the cold wind and rain. Beware of the mice, though! We packed up all of our food but the critter still ran around all night and destroyed a dish sponge.
Report Check-InGood for overnight stay. Nobody to collect money. Didn't bother with bathrooms based on previous reviews. Shelters useful when raining.
Report Check-InPerfect for a rainy day as there are several shelters. Administration was closed so we didn't pay anything. Downside is close to the road and bad facilities but we don't complain as it was free for us.

Der Platz liegt schön am See. Banos sind verdreckt und nicht nutzbar. Müll liegt über den ganzen Platz verstreut.
Report Check-InA small campsite sandwiched between the lake shore and the road. No one was around to collect any money mid December. No toilet facilities open. Several enclosed cabins with tables and seats to provide shelter from cold and rain. If it's free this is a good place to spend a night.
