Description

Amazing waterfall and pools. Great way to cool off on a hot day. Camping is allowed in the parking for truck campers but if you have a tent there is a special area with views of the falls! Price was 280 per night for 2 people, which included entrance to the park. Highly recommend the hike behind the waterfall. It is amazeballs!

el sitio es bonito pero no es cómodo para acampar. no hay duchas, por la noche solo quedan dos guardias armados. al lado hay una granja de vacas y hay muchas garrapatas en la zona. no recomendado para camping

Waterfall entrance and camping, $720lempira for 2 adults 2 kids + dog, stayed 2 nights. Beautiful waterfall, LOTS of delicious fresh mangos that fall from the trees (we collected 20+ mangos), can swim in the river above the falls, the offer tours here, zipline, behind the waterfall tour, and river tubing. We did the zipline and behind the waterfall tour both tours were amazing, highly recommend it! We camped between the soccer field and the restaurant and were able to use the restaurant bathroom. It was very stormy when we went and the security guard said we can camp in a tent under the outdoor restaurant roof instead of our rooftop tent, we had a tent with us but camped in our rooftop tent anyways. The thunder was very loud which freaked out our dog and made for a difficult nights sleep. But other than that it was a very fun and beautiful stay.

The gate to hike the trail that goes under the falls was regrettably closed. Maybe because it’s the rainy season and there was too much water. No swimming holes. A lot of cows and horses made for a whole lot of flies. Decided to move on after taking the small hike.

Our experience here was colored by a freak storm with a tornado in the area (late May). The important thing to know is that it doesn’t take much heavy rain to result in standing water in the field, and there are power lines all around it. In our case, branches started falling on the lines, which were still live, and we had to get out. But assuming your life is normal (as normal as it can be when you’re driving through Central America), you will have a great time here. There is a restaurant on-site with basic food, and the bathrooms there stay open at night. No showers that I know of. There are multiple parking options, but we were there on a busy Sunday (before the storm), so we opted for a corner of the field where we could have some privacy. Everyone on site was very kind, helping us with the damage to our rig and whatever we needed. Caspian loved the swings at the play area.

We also paid 200 Lempiras per person for camping incl entry to the waterfall on both days. They allowed us to stay on the grass next to the restaurant where wifi reaches well.

Paid 150pP for camping. Very cool place! Besides the impressive waterfall, there are pools further upstream where you can just hang out in the water. They also offer zip lining and a hike behind the water fall. Free WiFi at the restaurant. Ask the guy at the zip line office for the password...

Price change since 15 March 2022 now it's 100 lp per person for the entry and 200 lp for camping (not sure if its for vehicule of per person), they give you the ticket for the next day. We were first in the parkeo and they told us to change and enter near the restaurant. It was semana santa so there was lots of people but even if it was really nice. You can enjoy the water which is so cool during this hot time . Really a nice place if you want to relax. We talked with some employees and they told us that the bar was open which was really cool too. Really peaceful night and no mosquitoes.

Stayed here one night. The wifi is ok, the showers are your simple outdoor cold showers, power outlets everywhere at the restaurant, and lots of shade! Overall great place to camp and beautiful waterfalls! Same price as last review.

We slept in our motorhome in front of a small yellow building close to the restaurant. Very quiet during the night. Has water tap and plug for electricity. Good wifi in the restaurant. Park entrance 80L/p and camping 80L/p/n. Unfortunately, the (guided) tour to the spring of the river was not available.

We arived late and The vigilant had to ask permission by fone. Slapt in front The restaurant. Nice place during week. Recomended. Pay 80l pp.

Entrance 80lps pp
Camping an additional 80lps ppn

Waterfall is impressive and pools above the fall good for refreshing. For camping in car ask to park on extensive lawn next to te restraunt. Not in rain season when grass is 'swampy'.

Camped in tent next to falls while car was up next to the restraunt.

Zipline 550lps pp
Teeny tour behind the fall 300lps pp

Both were worth the moneybecause of the beauty but take less then an hour each. Negotiated each activity down by 50lps which is the max discount they can give without permission from upper management. Tour behind the fall could be too much water and adrenaline for some. Guide was rushing and did not know how to boost confidence on my teeny lovely wife who was overwhelmed with the fall pouring on us.

When arriving we said we do not know if we will stay the night so paid for entrance only and the next morning nobody bothered us that we had to pay for camping.

Showers are outdoors.
Big sink in the toilet.

We did not camp but it looks like you still can, if you wish. Beautiful waterfalls and opportunities to do zip lining and other activities.

Report Check-In

If you park up on the grassy field by the restaurant/cabanas you don't get the smelly cows, lots of flies though so it was really hard to cook. Good for one night, river was a little mucky, but the cabins looked really quaint and nice. The waterfall is beautiful but it's so built up around it looses it's luster a bit.

Report Check-In

Came just for the day. 80L per person to enter. Very impressive waterfall, but the entrance to go into caves was locked. There was a crazy amount of water flowing that day from some big rain the day before. Maybe it was not safe this day. The swimming area was a bit dirty and not very inviting to us on this day, but like I said there was a huge rain the day and night before. The place was not crowded, but looks like it gets crazy crowded on weekends.

they charged 160pp we stayed one night, waterfall and places to swim in the river, pretty safe and nice

Report Check-In

Beautiful, spent the night in the bus on the green field in front of resturant, 280 for 2 of us. friendly and helpful. swam in pool above waterfall, can walk down to the bottom of the fall for a great view.

Showed up after 5pm and asked for camping and waterfalls the day after. After a phone call from the staff to the manager who speaks English we paid 140 total (2 adults, minivan) for one night camping and the waterfalls for the next day. Password for wifi at restaurant is: [passwords are not allowed unless explicitly permitted by the owner]

Report Check-In

140 lempiras to enter park, 140 L more to camp. Several spots for tent campers and for vehicles, so best to ask at the restaurant depending on your needs. We were able to plug in, and there are flush toilets & showers. WiFi available at the restaurant. View of the waterfall and swimming in the pools is free. There are guides on-site who can take you behind the falls and zip-lining for a cost.

Still 280lp for 2 people to overnight camp with car. Lots of space and seems secure
