Still a neat and tidy hotel. However the prices have gone up. 21,000 for single with loo down the hall.
Still it’s a good stop before going to the border which is 64km away.
On Google maps this place Is Hotel Estrela do Congo. On the hotel building it says Hotel * Kongo.
Rooms have AC, shower. Very comfortable. Good parking around the back for many vehicles.
Restaurant, prices not bad.
Price has increased to 13,000 for a room with shared bathroom. I’m not sure if there are better options at this price but I was too tired to find out. 16,000 for one with the bathroom. The room itself is very nice and clean, but the shared bathroom isn’t that clean. Make sure to turn the handle to the right not the usual left for hot water in the shower ;)
Report Check-InKwz 9750 for single in what looked like storage shed in back. Not new Euro spec, but clean with AC, TV, private bath, refrigerator, single bed.
But, very noisy roosters all night long, so I would avoid those rooms in the back ‘sheds’. Pretty good hot breakfast.

Report Check-InI got the last room. Small but ok for Kw 9850. But shared bathroom was dirty. TV broke after 10min. And I got a stomach bug in the restaurant. Food was not fully cooked.
Staff is nice. Could exchange my USD.
Fine hotel; great first stop after the DRC/Angola border. Nice rooms and friendly staff
