Description

Just south of Laguna Chalviri, Dali's Rocks are another stunning landscape on Bolivia's Southwest circuit. We found the rock that offered the most shelter from the wind and prying eyes. Our highest-elevation campsite on this trip at over 15,000 feet. The wind at night was brutal and temperatures dropped below freezing, but the scenery is absolutely surreal. The road out to the rocks can be a bit soft. Proceed with caution if you are not in a high clearance 4x4.

Latest Check-Ins

We wanted to avoid rude coments, but there is no other way this time. We drove lets say to one third of the way, but felt so ashamed already that we immediately turned back. We are not those ones always crying here about environment, just sometimes, but what an asshole you must be to drive all the way to tge rocks?! The tracks are visible from kms. Even the tour operator guides dont drive there, I mean that ones who drive everywhere else. I mean, sorry, what an idiots...

Lovely place to camp near big rock formations. It was quite windy but died down around 10 pm. We parked behind some rocks which helped a bit. Stunning clear starry night down to -5 celcius.
