Description

Issue tourist visas here. Only problem is it could take days. You need to wait for the consular to arrive. We applied on Monday and received our visas on Friday. Was able to pay in CFA, 93000CFA per visa for a single entry for 1 month. Double entry possible.

Not a good experience here - they said none of the officials who can authorise visas were there, so we’d have to wait a week. Decided to use the evisa application process instead (note you get the evisa IMMEDIATELY after you apply - just press the “download” button at the end of the application process and you will receive a 2-page PDF with your picture on the corner - people have successfully used this without receiving a confirmation email - just take coloured copies of your yellow fever certificate, your passport and your evisa to the border along with the requisite fee of $120 USD). We understand the Luvo border accepts evisas - even though you can’t select it on the online application sheet - just select “Luau” as it is similar to Luvo.

unfortunately not a safe option anymore for getting your Visa since the responsible diplimate seems to be absent quite frequently and without him they cannot issue any visas. I'd give it a try when you stay in Dolisie anyways.

Very easy. 2 pictures, 1 form they fill out for you. I gave yellow fever and carnet but was not really asked for it (I guess it helped though). Applied in the morning, got it in the afternoon.

1 entry: 95 USD or 57 000 CFA
multiple entry: 150 USD or 86 000 CFA.

Just got our tourist visa here. We applied on thursday and had the visa on friday, the day after. They asked for a copy passport, copy yellow fever and hotel booking. They were also very happy with our fiche with all our information on it. Makes it easier for them.
We payed USD 150 for a month and double entry. Multiple entry is the same price but you have to give a good reason if you want to have multiple entry. We also payed 2000 CFA per visa for administration costs or something. We had a recu of that to so it's probably part of the process.
It went very smooth with one exception, one of the employees wanted a chat with us and said that if you want to enter Angola by Cabinda you have to so my for your visa in Point Noir because Point Noir is the closest location to the border of Cabinda. Never heard of it before so we don't know if it's just a nice fairytale to collect money or if it's true. At least we got our visa here and that saved us the trouble going to the city of Point Noir.

visa is possible again! but: when the ambassador is away, there is no visa and you had to go to point noire. obviously he is often not in place, they told us to wait for one week

Currently NO VISA available here. Angola changed system to computerized printed out visa only starting Nov 1st 2016. They do not have the necessary equipment in Dolisie. Unclear if and when they will get it. Very helpful staff though, if you try a little bit of Portuguese. They even called embassy in Point-Noir for us to make sure we get it there.

Sneaky buggers. The single entry rates should be 30 day Tourist Visa US$150 and Transit Visa US$100. Told us they would do 15 day Transit for $US100... then come time to pay told us that the "chief" decided to charge $US150. Tidy sum of $US200 (our two + Swiss couple) into their pocket. We dug our heels in for an hour but our DRC Visa is ticking away... so paid :(
Didn't need Invitation Letter... did need name + address + phone no of Angola contact where you will stay. Swiss couple were able to use Booking.com reservation. 2 days processing.
