Something not right?

Description

For the cyclists going southbound on the Great Peru Divide and climbing to Cajatambo. Very nice place to set up your tent. Just ask the very friendly family who runs the thermal baths and they will offer you a nice and safe spot beside the main building. There is no shower BUT you can enjoy a 40° C private bath for 5 Soles. Amazing natural source of hot water. Besides, you will find basic stuff in their supermarket (water, snacks, eggs and fruits)

Super nice people who run this spot. Really enjoyed the personal room to soak in the hot water after riding my bike up half this giant canyon. They sell cold drinks, organic avocado, and the typical snacks

Climbing up you might think you don’t want Aguas Termales but a cold shower, but as usual in the Andes, once the sun’s gone these hot springs are the best: 5 soles for your private bathroom!
There was a landslide / rockfall behind the house where people used to camp, so they let you sleep inside now.
No WiFi available anymore, but great 4G connection with Claro.

Was the perfect distance to lay over for us coming down from the north. The road through the canyon is an absolute must do! I can not speak more highly of this family. They didn’t charge for tent camping out back and they let us bring our two motos inside their secured building. Tasty and fairly priced meals. 5 soles for our own private hot springs.

I had to go another 8km to get there and it was it all worth. The 38*C thermal blast was amazing I think it was my longest shower ever 🙏 I could pitch my tent the even cooked my a simple tuna/rice/frice diner.
