Ísafjörður is the biggest town in the Westfjords and is sometimes called the Paradise in the West.
From health care to cinema, all public service is available in Ísafjörður. The camp site is 4 km outside Ísafjörður town center. Directions, turn from the main road at Seljaland and follow the road into Tungudalur. All facilities at the site have been newly renovated and the site is naturally well situated for campers. The camp site offers a playground, barbecue facilities and included WIFI. The area has a lot of vegetation (compared to Iceland generally!). The waterfall Bunárfoss characterizes the valley and the river Buná snakes through the camp site. Tungudalur offers many hiking trails and is a great outdoor recreational area. A 9 hole golf course is just beside the camp site.
