Very popular option in Accra. Loads of people of all types: volunteers, overlanders, backpackers, students, etc. Really easy to meet people. Amazing breakfast and very nice rooms although the bathrooms can be a bit hit or miss. Very modern indeed although this is reflected in the pricing: Mixed dorm 287 and female dorm 350. Ouch.

A wonderful modern location, good food, drinks, beer, pool, socializing, hot shower, a safe place for 2-3 cars or motorcycles. Wi-Fi works good.

well, the place is nice, very nice.
but, the price changed when the guy from reception notice we are travelers and we do not be here for work, like all the other people in the place.
we acepted to pay 180 for a dorm room.
to late to go another place and its raining
will stay only one night.
next morning, we advice that the price.will be 150.
place for a toyota, no more bigger then that.

Even after covid19, it's definitely a place to meet people. Rooms are a bit expensive but there is a swiming pool, breakfast is delicious, beds are good, wifi very fast and staff is very kind. They also have a laundry service very cheap.

Great spot to meet travellers, hangout, swim in the pool, and have huge and satisfying breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, unlimited bread, Nutella, fresh fruit, smoothie, guacamole). We stayed here a few nights and would have loved to stay longer. I believe the dorm beds were around 115 cedi, the room had 8 very comfortable and clean bunk beds with large rolling storage bins under the bed, two washrooms and working air conditioning. They offer laundry service for 15 cedi (a large basket). The lounge area is lovely and central, a great place to sit and chat or just read your book. It is open and airy and overlooks the garden and pool, and is also connected to the dining room and front desk. The place is located adjacent to the neighbourhood called Nima, one of Accra’s “ghettos” which is often visited y tourists. You can hire a guide to walk you through the small winding steets, or explore on your own. The people here are very friendly, and there is a great market. Anyway, we loved our stay at Somewhere Nice and would absolutely return/will recommend to friends. Before we came, we were told that Somewhere Nice had the best “vibe” and value. We agree.

Really nice Hostel! Haha

12 euro per night for a dorm room with ac and fans, still no mosquito nets but Mesh on windows.
Really good breakfast included, great WiFi, swimming pool with poolside bar!

Great place for meeting other European travellers! Very quiet on weekdays but full on weekends, reserve on hostel world. There is a hotel just across the street which offers private rooms for similar prices without the atmosphere.

Dinner across the road chicken and noddle for 7 cedi. Secure parking for several motorcycles or 1 x 4x4

The good things: The Staff is very friendly and helpful, The Beds are comfortable, there are many places around where you can get local food or asian food, the next market is 10 min away to walk, drinkingwater is for free, the rooms have a ceilingfan, wifi is available but it collapses every 15 minutes,
the bad things: we had one of the unfinished rooms at the top floor and we had no warm water, no moskito-nets (which is a no- go in this high risk malaria area ) no toilet seat and only a bucket to flush the toilet, no mirror, no shelf or wandrobe, no chair, and no hook to hang our stuff, - after demanding they give us a mirror and one chair and after 5 Days we got a toilet -seat, which they unscrew in the neighbour-room...The rooms at the top floor are also VERY badly soundproofed, so you can hear really EVERYTHING, what your neighbours do, through the walls. The breakfast room has 15 seats but there were more than 30 guests, so you have to wait. the breakfast is a little bit chaotic - the first 8 guests get a plate of pineapple, avocado and omelet , the next two guests that come later gets the same plates, so they have much more to eat... if you ask for more, sometimes they said- you already got eggs, you get no more! It may be one of the nicer places in accra, but it is also very expensive -- 225 Cedi (44€) for all the missing things in our room, i think that is too much. There is no place at the hostel to park a big rig, but the neighbour ( a taxidriver) has lot of space behind a fence, so if you call him for taxi driving you at the city or the market, i think it would be no problem to ask, if you can park there, because he is a very friendly man.
