Description

Takes a while for ol'mate to copy / trace everything. Bring photocopy of passports to speed things up. Ol'mate tried on $10 per passport. I snatched passports back and wouldn't pay... had to go see "boss" about it... still didn't pay. Long process kept friendly :)

DRC->RoC
We went there because customs told us to do so, but they just made pictures of our passports and said they will inform the office in Ndalatando about our arrival. I think there is no need to go here.

Report Check-In

No need to go there, when passport has been already stamped at the immigration office in Ndandanga.
However Carnet de Passage needs to be stamped in Luozi, and chief immigration
officer has already been advised by immigration office Ndandanga that you are on the way and will guide you to his immigration office to try to get
money from you, which was a very unpleasant situation which took a long time.

Report Check-In

When driving from DRC to Congo Braza you don't need to stamp here. Go to Ndalatando with copy of your passport.

Report Check-In

We didn’t stop here to get registered on the way into DRC since we already had our stamps. We did briefly meet the immigration officer the night before though and he seemed friendly – offered us camping on his lawn and when we said we were looking for a hotel instead he got one of his officers to show us one. This officer was super helpful. The hotel was locked and the hard of hearing owner sleeping but he found a neighbour who knew how to get in and sort us out.

Report Check-In

New young chief seemed well trained: asked 10 $ / passeport for the DGM form.
We politely denied and he replied that we were "bad tourists" because we refused to pay.
He called the guy at the border to inform him that we would cross the border the next day. (passeport will be stamped there)
Not so long at the end, only about 20min.
