Everything easy at this border. If you are early at this border you probably will have to wait until 9:30am or even 10 until the one, who can put the exit stamp into your passport has arrived.
Report Check-InUltra easy border crossing, once we arrived the borders were extremely busy, an officer came to us he asked us to follow him inside the building, we gave our passports to the emigration dude inside his office, he registered us in the system and said that we can do the Douan while the passports are being stamped.
We did the douan in less than 1 minute, came back passports were send to be stamped after 15 minutes they were done and we were good to go.
Wonderful people around, change, food, photocopies…
From drc to Angola
Report Check-InTravelling DRC to Angola. The immigration and douane are in the building in the right. They Expedia the service for tourists. Very friendly
Report Check-InWe arrived at this border on a Sunday morning. Not advisable if you ask us. People were extremely friendly (as said in prior entries, as soon as you mention you are a tourist, all is okay), yet all the important people for stamping your passport and CDP were unavailable and had to be called to come.
All in all fine border, no trouble, but on a Sunday it took very long.
*same comment applies for the Angolan side
Report Check-InThere is one helpful guy, but the problem is that he does everything alone. It took 1 hour to stamp our passports.
Report Check-InWe arrived at 16.45. They helped us cross quickly, it took a bit more than half an hour.
Report Check-InDidn't let me pass after 17:30 so I slept surrounded by friendly gards quietly, directly at the new border administration building.
Next morning, the border opens at 7:30 but only at 9:00 the right officers where there to stamp CDP and Passport. Friendly, no bribes asked.
As I was in DRC, the magic word "Touriste" made always a change in behavior, very friendly.
Report Check-InWe don’t have Carnet (SA vehicle). They made TIP that costed 30 500 CFD.
Report Check-InEverything is in this building. Passeport stamped and CPD stamped too.
Easy nice people.
Just long because the right person wasn't there...
Easy crossing south, only hold up was for 2 hrs due to automatic gate arm would not open, big rig so could not sneak around the back!!
Report Check-InDRC to Angola.
Very long process (1 hour) but friendly staff. Police registered us in their informatic system, then they stamped our passports. Douane checked our TIP and stamped it. No car inspection.
For entering DRC—met in parking by DGM badged guy who helps
Step 1: registration of pp details, small yellow building across “parking” (open area) from 2 story “ENTREE” building—money changers outside door, didn’t use. Officer takes pp to immigration office, gets entry stamp, hands pp back.
Step 2: no step 2!
