Description
For 500 dram you can camp here (or at the neighbour). Small cafe with toilet. Only one or two spots for vehicles. For tents slopy unmowed field. Tatev within walking distance.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

The owners now ask 3000 per night, just to park on an uneven and dirty small parking lot. Not worth it! Just park in front at the Wings of Tatev parking for free :)
Report Check-InEasy, and Uncomplicated. Stayed in the tent. Up the road is a small market, you can order some fresh milk there, had to wait till the cows are coming back in town.
Wifi from the station is super
The tavern is closed (probably because of winter time). We camped on the field and woke-up with a beautiful view. We used the toilet of te cablecar station, which is 200 dram (only coins of 200 works). And there is free wifi :).

There is an improvised sign "camping zone" at Tatev cafe now. We xould stand on the empty plot next to the cafe. Right next to the road, but no problem. Toilets can be used. Closer to the street is within range of the free wifi of the tramway. We ate at the rzstaurant (good) and did not pay for camping
Report Check-InNice place in the garden above the Tatev Tavern. Great owners. Invited us to coffee, honey and bread the next morning. Gago, the owner, did not want any money, we gave him 1000 dram though.
Quite a lot of traffic on the street next to the site. 2 minutes walking to the monastery. Good WiFi from the tramway station. :-)
Great place for a night. Didn't have to pay anything for camping and toilet. You only pay something is you use the shower. Delicious food!!
