Uruguay
We were told that as tourists we did not need to pay for camping. Large grounds easy to get away from the crowds. Electricity is only at the sites closest to the check in area. There's a nice river in the back if you want to explore. Only some spots have electricity. Might be quite noisy on weekends as public grounds.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Muy lindo parque con muchos lugares para estacionar y acampar. Baños limpios, duchas con agua caliente. Hay un restaurante y Conexión eléctrica. No sé si hay wifi, Creo que no..
Report Check-InWe were told to park next to the administration, because there was the only light and socket working. A water tap is 40 m left of the administration building and a dump station is about 80 m down the street opposite the administration. The staff is really nice and helpful.
We stayed 2 nights, and the second night (tuesday) there was very loud music from 11 pm until 3 am.
We asked to pay, but they say it's free. We gave them some german sweets.
Great place just up from the river - at no charge. Courtesy of the city of Durazno. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Most trees are quite low, so got to look for a high clearance spot for a roof tent. Bathroom with hot showers and toilets, very clean. Avoid Fridays and weekends, music pumping from the river throughout the night and lots of motorbikes roaring. Quiet and peaceful during the day.
Report Check-InSuper nice people, I was able to leave my bicycle at administration and go grocery shopping. super nice!
Report Check-InPerfecto lugar para camping de unos días .
Parrillas lejos entre sí y cada una con agua y luz .
La verdad que es para copiar en todo Uruguay .
We stayed two nights (we’d-thurs) and it was “ok”. Bathrooms were fair and the women’s shower near the admin office worked awesome (my wife said). I on the other hand did not get the pleasure of a shower due to the fact there are no shower heads. This seems to be a trend at most municipal sites and it’s a bummer, women get all the luck! Not real quite at night and on Thursday night there were two very loud parties going on and one went unitil 4am so little sleep was had! This could be a nice place if there was a bit less noise but for a night or two for free it worked out. The staff at this place were very nice!
Report Check-InShowers closed. After the rain camping area is under water. But there is still place to park with big rig.
Report Check-InPeaceful, clean toilets, hot showers, good wifi near administration building, nice lady Tamara at a office. All for free. I love you Uruguay!
Report Check-InBusy but not full. Got a spot on the 'block' opposite the administration not far from the toilets, games 'room' and stalls. With electricity. A lot of shade. Fixed table and bbq at most locations. Fast wifi near the administration. 200 uru per night, but free for the one we stayed.
Report Check-InWe didn’t have to pay, as it was off season. Showers are pretty clean, with nice pressure and hot. Loads of trees for shadow. People from town meet there for hanging around, pretty loud but at 11pm they were gone.. You can easily stay a few nights, really nice!
Report Check-InWe stayed for a night for free. Hot shower close to the administration. No Wi-Fi and our Claro SIM worked very poorly here. People at the reception are nice. Unfortunatelly no other car was here
Report Check-InNormally 200pesos per place, but in low season, the guy told us not to pay. Locals came here for making asado but the campground is huge and it's easy to find a quiet place. People working there are very nice.
Clean and hot showers.
Only one baño building was open (close to administration building). As we were here during the week it was calm. Bathroom with hot showers very clean. We were told that camping is free. No WiFi available.
Report Check-InGreat place to stop if you don't mind lots of people...obviously in high season there is alot going on, but for a few days to if your lucky to find a spot on the outskirts it's great!!! Best showers in months....hot and totally clean..done all the washing and charged the batteries :-) good place for a few nights...They have a shop, Restaurant and Bar...and a nice Beach with Boats....Holiday time!!
Report Check-InThat's a huge grassy areas with lots of shade. But it isn't for free. It's cost you 200 Uru per place, doesn't matter if you're travelling with 2 or 10 peoples. They have wifi, which is ok and it is really clean. I'm pretty sure you can stay there for free, nobody will come. But hey, many people work there for little money and it is just fair to pay for it. When i asked the ladies at the office, if this place was free for tourists in the past, they were surprised, it was never free, does't matter where the people came from.
Report Check-InAll very clean and free. Very busy as it was a Friday night
