Latest Check-Ins

As already mentioned, great place to meet other overlanders (moto, bike, foot) and share information on the Pami. They are in the process of expanding so some new rooms available which are super clean (but some are up four flights of stairs!). The shared areas (e.g. kitchen) are a little dirty but washing machine use is cheap at 15S

We managed to fit our caravan plus another caravan into the entrance. The hostel provides the paper you need for the registration at OVIR office. It’s loud and in the evening they turn on an oven, which is a bit gross when you are sleeping in your car right next to it. Shower could be cleaner. We payed $5 pp.

Very nice place. We could park our l2h2 van on the courtyard behind gates. We could fill up water and use hot shower and washing machine. You can also get a registration stamp here for the pamir highway. Just ask. 20 min walk to OVIR office. We slept in the van. 5 dollar / night

Best place to meet other Overlanders in Dushanbe. Quite cheap as well. No breakfast available though and far away from the city center (but very close to the airport). Nice "western" supermarkets nearby.

Report Check-In

We payed 5$ p.P. to sleep in the car. It is a great place to meet people and do something on your car, but it can be quite loud in the morning if you want to sleep in. Anyway, great place!

Seems to be the place to stay in Dushanbe. $7 pppn for a five bed dorm. Toilet and shower in the room. Lots of people seemed to be staying, but tons of rooms, only 3 out of 5 beds in our room occupied. WiFi was regular for Tajikistan, only so-so. Hot showers. Breakfast included. Helpful staff.

Report Check-In

Perfect place for biker. The yard is full of motorcycles and bicicles. Very clean, friendly staff and a big kitchen.

Report Check-In

Sleeping inside the Car in the Courtyard was 6 USD pppn, parking inside and sleeping in the Dorm 7 USD pppn. Dorm was okay but had terrible mattresses (ask for additional blankets) and had only had 1 Toilet/Shower for 8 People. Friendly and helpful Staff spoke English. You can order Food from a Menu at the Reception and they will call a delivery Service for you (Asian Noodles were good, Pizza mediocre). Met a lot of Overlanders here (Car, Moto, Bike). WiFi is fast now :-)

We enjoyed the stay. Three cars can fit (small van/normal 4x4). Can get a bit crowded outside, since people smoke where the cars are parked. Didn’t bother us. Showers were good, breakfast was good enough, all reasonably clean, owners were very helpful in finding places. Internet worked sometimes, good Megafon coverage so you can use your own.

Room for 2 cars or 1 big rig.
After some negotiating we arranged 4 dollar for a night to sleep in the van. Breakfast included.

Anther van had a dog but it was not allowed inside.
The wifi is ok.

Morodzhon who runs Green House Hostel is able to get car/motorbike/bicycle parts from Moscow.

We emailed ahead asking for some specific Land Rover parts. He gave us various options of genuine/OEM/aftermarket parts, and we had the parts in our hands about 4 days later. The parts were small so the courier fee was only $5.

That’s a better service than I’ve had getting parts within the UK. Stunning.

Report Check-In

Yes, nice place with working facilities. Small place for max 2 cars or a small truck, entrance is more than 3 meter, not sure how high. Lot of cyclers as well.
Paid 6 usd per person to sleep in car, kids for free

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay and nice owners! Payed 10 USD for 2p for sleeping in the car. Toilets could be cleaner. Shower ok, WiFi was super slow.

They also can recommend a mechanic. Nice guys, but the work was a little sloppy. We would recommend to stay with them all the time and exactly check what they are doing (if you have the skills). In our case they forgot an essential part of the track rod which caused a major damage at the steering rack. Definitely negotiate the price for working hours in advance (they try to avoid it).

Really nice and relaxing place also a good place to get reorganised. Sleeping in our rooftoptent was 5 dollar per person per night with breakfast. But we found it to noisy at night and also to warm. So the other nights we slept in the dorm, 7 dollar per person. And the dorm we slept had airconditioning, slept really good. Laundry is 10 somoni. It is a busy hostel with travelers, many who travel with bicycle.

Report Check-In

Nice place, virtually no WiFi access. USD 4 p.p. for sleeping in rig. Very little space for overlander vehicles (max two vehicles).

Report Check-In

We slept in our car. Facilitys are clean and we got everything you need.
Really good to connect with others for advises.

The Green House Hostel feels like a western enclave after only speaking to locals for months. Great place to recharge and exchange tips with other travelers coming from or heading to the Pamir Highway. As soon as others wake up, wifi comes to a standstill.
