Description

Hotel on beautifull peninsula behind the memorial church of Kibuye. Amazing view over the lake from the terrace of the hotel. Camping on the paved parking. cold showers but friendly staff. Food is not to expencive (we didn't taste it but it looked good) and for camping we paid 4000rfr for the two of us per night.

Possibility to camp on the parking. Nice views over the lake. Hot shower (without a lot of pressure) and clean toilets of the hostel. It was pretty busy when we were there, full car park so noisy with trucks moving in and out and people chatting. Good value for money though, paid 5000 for two+car.

Very clean and well organised. 5000RFr per vehicle camping in the carpark. Good food in the restaurant. Overnight security with gates closed. Excellent views from both sides as it's on an isthmus. Boat trips available if you like.

Amazing amazing views over lake kivu and its islands from this cute hotel! We were allowed to sleep in our camper in their parking lot for 5000 for two people..The Manager Sean Paul was very friendly and offered us a nice room with ensuite for 8000.. we slept in the car anyways but found it a nice gesture. The food was very nice and the staff very friendly. We also did a boat tour with Olivier to the Bat Island and around the peninsular for 20000 for 4 hours which was amazing! We inteded to come for a one nighter but ended up staying 3 days because qe loved yhis place so much! Also has a beautiful garden that you can walk down to the lake in..

We starts the Congo-Nile trail from Gisenyi to Kibuye. The say the trail is also for 4x4 cars but half of the trail is more for hiking and biking. People along the trail say it's not possible to continue with the car, but we're kept going! Only 2 bridges were very small, the rest was good.
So we ended at St Sjean. The let us camp at the parking lot for 5000 fr p. car.
The restaurant has wifi and a menu card with a lot on it for good prices. Also here it takes a wile before it's served.
We could use (cold)shower and toilet in a public building.
