Description
Truly a fitting name - this place IS an Oasis. We checked out 4 other properties in Paramaribo and this one is the best. It is family owned and all of the staff they have onsite are welcoming, professional and helpful. The rooms are CLEAN, modern and beautifully furnished with desks, flat screen TVs, armoires, mini-fridges and SUPER comfortable beds. Hot and cold water and air conditioning add to the level of comfort. There is a common living room, well-outfitted and spacious kitchen. Outdoors, there is an above ground pool and a covered patio with tables, chairs and hammocks. The laundry machine is huge and costs €3. We paid €37,50 per night for the nicest room we have stayed in in all of South America. There is a €10 fee for the first night, but if you stay 3 or more nights, you get it back. Parking is gated/secure and spacious. They are also happy to help you organize tours. If you have truck you can also stay in your vehicle for €20,- and use all facilities. They also have a house to rent in front. If you stay a little bit longer or you are more people, you can ask for it. Very nice, all perfect, up to 7 people. We were 4 on this house and we paid 90 euros for a day. You can also use all the facilities from the guesthouse.
Report Check-InAll as stated above but price for parking up and sleeping in your truck is now €25 per night. it's a nice place with friendly staff, small pool and gardens. it's a good location to visit downtown, but it's a bit over-priced for what you get. Showers are cold-water only and there is no electricity hook-up.
