Report Check-InGreat great place!! We got to Terjit around 7 at night, settled in. Around 8 Haj (the friendly and English-fluent owner) stopped by and gave us two cakes to welcome us! The next day we asked him where a good mechanic was, he told us to follow him to one in his car. That mechanic was shut because it was Sunday so he took us to another area of town, translated our problems into Arabic for the mechanic and bargained down to a lower price for us. After that, we headed back to the hotel. When we say Haj again we asked if he knew where we could get a hand pump and again he drove us around town until we found one. Insanely welcoming!! Gave us lots of good advice about heading inland to Atar, where we are going tomorrow.
It is very windy here so we decided to stay in a room rather than camp. A simple room using the shared bathroom (which is very clean with hot hot showers!) is 7000 UG though there are nicer ones for 10000 or 11000. Highly recommended!
Report Check-InAbsolut zu empfehlen! Ruhiger, sicherer, netter Platz direkt am Strand, neue & stets saubere Toilette, Dusche mit heißem Wasser, Treffpunkt für Overlander, gutes Essen. Der sympathische Besitzer Hadj (hat in den USA studiert) ist unglaublich gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Toller Platz, um einige Tage auszuspannen - auch, weil es abends/nachts angenehm abkühlt.
We higly recommend this quiet, nice & safe place: direct on the beach, new toilet neatly cleaned, shower with hot water, meeting point for overlanders, good food. The congenial owner Hadj, who studied in the States, is extremely welcoming and helpful. Good place to relax for a few days, also since it is getting pleasantly cool in the evening/night.
