Something not right?

Description

Once you make it up the rough 4wd track, you will be rewarded with superb valley views and the site of an old monastery complex. Partly restored, partly half-ruined. A cool place. The monastery is abandoned but you might meet locals visiting the church. There is a picnic table and a source with potable water. OK vivacell 4g coverage.

Nice offroad tours to the little monastery and the Tsaghats ruin on the other hill. 4WD and high ground clearance needed. Rough and rocky track. No problem with our Toyota Hilux. Didn‘t camp at the monastery but it‘s a nice route.

Awesome place to wake up in the morning. Track is very doable when dry and with a proper 4x4. A few steep parts. The water is good and there is a fireplace, but no firewood around.

Definitely not suitable for big rigs!

Great place! Very quiet, beautiful view, fireplace and cold drinking water. We haven’t seen so many stars at night on any other place! The road to the monastery is pretty steep so 4x4 is needed!

Tried to get up here with a heavy loaded xt660z tenere but didn't manage to get up. Part after the plateau was to steap. Instead we camped on the plateau and hiked up in the morning. This place is amazing. I would try to do it with a 4x4 but not with a big rig. A few locals passed during day time but the armenian people are all very friendly and tolerant even though they don't get the concept of wild camping 😄
