Mexico
Restaurant with beach camping. This was a pretty primitive site but you are right on the beach. Be careful; the sand flies here can be pretty brutal.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Watch out for the local police. As posted elsewhere, they will pull you over for “speeding” no matter how slow you are rattling down the highway (we were pulling a 24 ft trailer on a narrow potholed road, as local traffic roared past us). Took my husbands license and would not release it til we forked over 2500 pesos. We couldn’t just turn our rig around and follow him to the “office”to pay, already had a really long travel day. We were sitting ducks, not many other tourists around. Beware!
Report Check-InPolice hang out in San Blas and pull you over with a fake speed. We have a dash cam that showed we were only 3 miles/hr over and they showed us a radio gun with 15miles/hr over. Then the policeman said u can pay 3000 pesos and pay the ticket now. We said no. He said the office is closed and when it opens it has long lines. We said no. He took my husbands drivers license. we learned he lied as the office was open and we paid only 800 pesos for being 15 over. We didn’t want to argue and show them our dash cam
