Description

This is a great little RV park in Patzcuaro. Big rigs may have some difficulty getting in, but we saw RVs while we were here, so they manage somehow. There is a great little cabana where tent campers can escape the elements and enjoy a book and even make a fire.

Nice large garden conveniently located roughly 3 km north of the city center and 1.5 km south of the pier for the boats to the islands (Muelle No. 2). You can jump on a colectivo in either direction just in front of the place (10 pesos per person). There is a laundry, a small abarrotes, Oxxo, and a large Bodega Aurrerá close by. Don Chuchos nearby has many gringo foods. WIFI is kind of erratic but most of the time very fast. A big plus especially in the rainy season is a cozy little hut with a couple of sofas, tables and chairs and even a fireplace. Dogs must be leashed.

Good place to camp in Pátzcuaro. 20 to 30 minutes walk to town centre.

Report Check-In

We love this oasis of quiet and green and have been coming here for about 7 years. 300 per night. 10% weekly discount. I don't know the monthly rate. 10 peso combis to Centro run steps away. Many services and supplies in easy walking distance. So much to do and see in the area. Obdulia and her son Arturo run the campground on their large family property. He speaks English. Only the men's shower has hot water this year, and not always. There are multiple wifi routers that all use the same password (posted in the kiosk by the pool).

Report Check-In

Nice place with all amenities. There is also a communal cottage with an open fireplace, for cooler evenings. From here you can walk to the boat docks to get to Janitzio Island. 300 pesos/night and vehicle.

Report Check-In

Love it here! We left and came back. Perfect in ever way!

Report Check-In

Fantastic RV park. Quiet, trees and grass. Close to town. The colectivo picks up just across the Main Street and drops off at the road into the RV park

Report Check-In

nice Garden, road to the place a bit narrow if cars parking, first register, 300 P cash, check in with less words but ok, places in nice Garden with electric, water, dumping (not realy for european truck campers), Pool not in use for tourists, showers only cold, 10PpP with collectivo in Front of Bodega Aurora to town (walking 20min not nice), sometimes train noises, day time not quite, night ok

Report Check-In

Peaceful green oasis, great location. Park outside the gate and register at Office before driving in. Showers did not work for the 8 days we were here, but they were working on it. No toilet paper. Bathroom area is not cleaned very often, but is acceptable. Family property. Mom Obdulia is warm and sweet, speaks Spanish. Son Arturo speaks English, runs the campground, but is very hands off. Tonio is maintenance guy. Collectivo out front (says Centro) is 10 pesos each way, drops you off in Plaza Chica. Coming back, go to opposite side of Plaza and look for colectivos that say Bodega Aurrera or Coppel. Get out at Pemex.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, friendly people, hot showers, short ride on the collectivo to centro or 20 min walk, a few minute walk to the bus to Morelia.

Report Check-In

I considered here but really weighed the options between the two RV parks. I think being a little further out of town (with beautiful view) at Rancho La Mesa outweighs a on/off hostess that you don’t know what you were going to get. More negative reviews on google maps than on here worth checking out!

Planned to stay 2 nights, stayed 5!
Lovely park with water, electricity and sewer for 300 pesos per night
Highly recommend

Report Check-In

Very nice place. 100 of frogs, so no mosquitos. Paid 180 Pesos for 2 persons 1 night. Pool in very good condition but closed because COVID.
hey Mexico, wake up! COVID is the normal flue, a lie, a plan!

Report Check-In

We did not stay here since it was to expensive for our family of five (500 pesos). But it is a very beautiful place with lot of blooming trees and swimming pool.

Report Check-In

This is such a beautiful and quiet rv park. We stayed 12 days at $200mx / night. The pool was “closed due to Covid” but I think it’s because the owner wants to the pool to herself. No matter.
There are several little buildings on the property to hang out in. One has a fireplace , a little library and 2 tables to use. This is where the modem is so wifi if best there although we also had reception in our van. The bathrooms could be swept out more often ( I found a broom and just did it myself)
This was one of our favorite rv parks in Mexico. There was only one other van there during our stay so the whole place felt like we were staying at a ranch. We had lots of room for morning yoga and hanging out hammock. The grounds are very well maintained and there’s lots of flowers and fruit trees. The hummingbirds were fun to watch.
There’s a small tienda just down the road to the right and Bodega Aurora is 1 block away. Laundry is across the Main Street and about 20 steps to the right. Same day service!
We loved it here and will come back again next year for 3 - 4 weeks. Enjoy exploring the town. It’s wonderful at night.
Catch a collectivo marked CENTRO to get into town. It’s 10 pesos and takes less than 8 minutes. On the return trip get a collectivo marked BODEGA AURRERA. Taxis are $45 pesos each way
Be sure to eat/ drink or hang out at La Surtidora on the main plaza. They have the best and cheapest coffee in Mexico! We bought 2 kilos to take with us. The atmosphere/ food and drink are amazing.

Report Check-In

Every time I am auto corrected to abattoir I mean abarrote ( convenience store).

Report Check-In

280 pesos for a space. Three prong 15 amp household plugs and a water faucet at each spot. Strong WiFi (usually !) Quiet grassy compound with a few apartments a couple of community rooms a swimming pool and an open gate to come and go as you please. Pets on leashes on the property and not inside buildings. 10 minute drive to the downtown square in the city. An abattoir on the main road a two minute walk from the campground.
Other than that you are on your own to sit and enjoy songbirds in the trees.

Report Check-In

Other reviewers were right. While we were here the internet did not work.

Report Check-In

Nice RV Park with grassy aera to park. Toilets and showers are clean. 280 peso for a camper.

Report Check-In

Fine old campground. Wifi (slow, somewhat intermittent), showers (range from lukewarm to cold) and hookups (15 amp). Room for bigger rigs. Oxxo now 3 blocks away. 2 mile walk to town or catch a colectivo out front for cheap. Amazing store Don Chucho's 1/4 mile away. Patzcuaro itself is completely awesome. Star rating system bust on this site but I give 4 out of 5 stars. No paper in banos. 7000 feet.

Report Check-In

Nice, quiet place. 7 big rigs in here. No problem getting in. 300 pesos/ night 2 people. 15%discount if you stay a week.
The RV camp up on the hill 360 pesos, we heard. Can walk right out to the carratera & take a collectivo for 9 pesos/ pp to Centro. Water store just down the road. Nice conversation in the warming hut with a nice fire. Great to get ideas for travel around Mexico from the other overlanders.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite. Lots of spots for vans. We were the only ones here. Good wifi. Hot showers. 20 mins walk to Centro. 280P per night.

Report Check-In

Will not stay here again!!! I have been to a lot of RV parks in Mexico all over the Country and never had a problem until here. The operators of the park are just rude. You park in a large grassy field with no Rv pads or anything I have a camper van so put my table and chairs outside. There is virtually no one here and tons of space. The rude lady came over and said I only paid for 1 spot so to move my table over. Literally this is a grassy field and no one is here. She was not even nice about it but very rude. It might not sound like a big deal but the people are just very unfriendly as this was not the only demonstration of their bad attitude. Plus the bathrooms are dirty!!!

Report Check-In

Wonderful spot to camp outside of the city. Full hookups with showers and bathrooms on site. They had a pool and fast wifi. Beautiful grounds, quiet at night, and a 30 minute walk or 7 minute drive into the centro. Definitely would stay here again.

Report Check-In

I have stayed at the R V Park for the last 5 Mexican summers. It sits on about 5 acres full hook ups, wifi, electric and dump station at your sight. It has a little cabin with a fireplace if you want to read or hang out at night. The bathrooms are very clean with plenty of hot water. The hotel has a pool which can be used. The park has 3 cabins that can be rented. 1,000 yards you pick up the combi and for 9 pesos you are taken to the plaza and daily fresh food market. Two blocks to the Super Market and the Guaralajara Pharmacy. Across the Street you can have breakfast. I have been in Mexico 13 years and the this is just a jewel. The prices on the web site are for two people depending on the size of your rig. I payed 125.00Mx per night and stayed for 4 weeks. Discounts for weekly and monthly stays. It would be wise to call ahead if you plan to arrive in April. Many leave the beach in April and stay here for several weeks before they return to Canada.

Belle petite place

Personnel avenant
Pas beaucoup d’eau chaude

Report Check-In

Small RV Park with ca 10 grassy sites. Clean Toilets, fast Wifi, relatively quiet but you here some traffic noise. Collectivo to the Centro is 9 Peso p.P. and takes about 10 Minutes. Good camping option to explore Pazcuaro.

Report Check-In

Nice campground, clean, green, communal space with fireplace. We paid 360pesos for 4 persons.
The only downside is the really annoying old lady who runs the place. She definitely does not like children. On our second night she passed by to tell us we lied to her and that we had 3 kids instead of 2 🤔 (the 3th one was her own grandchild playing with our 2 boys!). Once that was settled she said we were not allowed to make a fire. We pointed out to her that that was a BBQ and showed her on her own list of house rules that that was OK. Then she saw that we lighted the fire in the communal space.... And she said we were not allowed because it was reserved for friends of her. We told her it was no problem and that we would leave the building once her friends arrived ,.... And then she finally dropped her mask by saying kids were not allowed in the communal area!!! By that time I was really starting to get angry, but managed to stay calm and friendly and took her back to her house rules, displayed on the wall of the building.
In the end she left and said we had to leave in the morning.
It's not that our kids were loud, they are well behaved and respect other people and properties.
If she doesn't like kids, fine by me. But then don't take my money first, and after that come with all that stupidity.
But the place is nice, her grandson likes to play with other kids, and it 's close to the city center so don't let it stop you from staying here!
And there is a pool, but close to her house. So she might drain the water when your kids are swimming😁

Report Check-In

Nice spot full service and pool. Walking distance to ferry and Centro. 280 peso per night.

Report Check-In

Plenty of green space. Bathrooms and hot water didn’t work 1/2 of our visit. $280MX per night. WiFi didn’t work either. Nice pool and enclosed living area.

Report Check-In

Great place to spend a few days. Park is nice and it is easy to get to town in a combo for 9 pesos. Patzcuaro has a really nice vibe with mostly locals in town with some great restaurants.

Report Check-In

Great large grassy campground with pool, clean toilet and hot showers. Paid 260mxn per night for 2 people inc electric hookup. Very close to downtown & lake, walkable or by combi bus that stops in front of the RV Park. The owner is a bit cold, definitely not unlike all other smiling and friendly Mexicans we’ve met so far, but he was helpful enough for all the questions we had.

Report Check-In

Wide open grassy area. Clean. Easy access to city center. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Clean, quiet and off the beaten path but with transportation and markets close by. 16 pesos round trip to take collectivo to plaza grande.

Report Check-In

We have been staying here for the last 3 nights in a 24' Class C RV. A little tight getting in, but a nice campground. Quiet.Easy to get the collectivo into the Centro. Close to the Bodega shopping. WIFI is pretty iffy, so is the electricity. We have a power surge protector, but most of the time it was only between 90-100 amps, not enough to power anything. Glad we have solar.Water pressure is pretty low. $280 pesos per night (2 people)

Report Check-In

Excellent campground in the heart of Michoacan. Close to Patzcuaro Centro, combis stop right at the entrance. Hot showers, quiet, beautiful, friendly, clean. 260 pesos a night. Highly recommended. So much to do and see in this area!

They ask 240 pesos for 2 adults. We have 2 children (4 an
d 6 years old) and we were asked to pay 440 pesos. Not only the owner was not willing to negociate (not even for the 4 years old) but he was arogant and rude and almost slamed the
donor"9, in our face. I think his behaviour is9ooy due to the fact that he is the only known campground in town. Well, not anymore. After wandering around a little we found a camground that is offering an amazing view overN the towfreeq the island: Rancho La Mesa situated at 15 minutes walk to downtown. It costs 280 pesos (wfull hookup) and it is negociable if you st ay longer. Kids are freeq. See new location on iOverlander.

Report Check-In

Great place to stop and still only $100 pesos! Clean bathrooms, electricity behind cabanas and water available. Stunning views of the volcano and lava covered church. We hired some horses and a guide to see the church. It cost $150 pesos per horse for 2 hours. Quiet site, but some local noises outside the gate (fireworks, dogs, etc.). It was difficult getting our big rigs through the village because a festival was going on, and the main road was blocked. Otherwise, very big friendly!

Report Check-In

Really cool camp site, RV park and bungalows. The place is well kept, clean and a good rest place for travellers and to charge the batteries a bit. Close to town to walk for those who aren't afraid of a bit of exercise. The bungalows are a treat to stay in.

Report Check-In

Great campground with a large grassy area for parking. Water and electric at each site. Showers and toilets were pretty clean. I had mixed experiences with both hot and cold showers. Overall had a great stay. Paid 220 pesos per night for a small Subaru Forester and just the two of us.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous, well kept grounds and hotel. Bathrooms and showers ok. Too cool and rainy to use the inviting looking pool. Great to be able to walk to town. We paid 240mx for truck camper. Only ones here.

Report Check-In

Another in a long list of Mexican RV parks that apparently regard cleanliness as a gringo obsession. There is hot water in the shower but it's impossible to regulate. It's either scalding or freezing. Price for 2 people is $240/night.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet place, about 20-30 minutes walk to the town center. The RV park is on a beautiful big meadow. Toilets and showers are ok, but really tiny and only one shower/toilet for each men and women. We paid 220 pesos for two people and a van.

Wow. Nice spot. $210 a night. Fastest internet we have had yet in Mexico.

Report Check-In

This little Rv park is a gem! Although the sites are not completely flat, the camping is on a beautiful lawn that appears to have a fantastic landscaper/maintenance staff. Although we were here out of "season" the grad was cut an all the flowers were in bloom and well cared for. Water an electricity at each site and (OMG) toilet paper in the cute little washrooms. Cold showers available on-site right beside the bathrooms and yes, nice little covered and windowed cabana to have a meal in, a fire in, or to use the Internet. There I also a large paved area that larger RV's can camp on if a level place is required. The hostess is very nice, as is the pool behind the office. It cost us 100 peso a person for the night for our camper van. I think it is well worth the money!
