follow unpaved road from parking for monastery. Direction border fence. There are lots of possibilities to stay. At monastery toilets available. Water we got on last car wash station 1 km before you reach the parking.
Nice sunset and sunrise in front of little and big Ararat.
Great spot.

We stayed one night at the coordinates without problems. Don‘t miss the sunrise!
Report Check-InWe arrived in the early afternoon and parked the car at the exact coordinates. At 9 p.m. a police car (or military ) came. One spoke english and wanted to know why we are there, our nationalities and see the passports. Without further explanation we got escorted back to the parking of the Monastery to spend the night. Looked like they where cancerned about our safety and did not want us staying out in the field.
Report Check-InAccess to this place from the parking area of the monastery impossible for big rigs. Took the earth road from Lusarat instead.
Report Check-InGreat place! We continued down the dirt road (left) along the fence and drove all the way up the hill to where the old city ruins are (right before the bridge). Stunning sunrise view. Loved the howling jackals at night.
Report Check-InGood spot, nice views. But furiously hot in summer- no shade and the stones act like an oven
