Very popular hike, did not expect so many people. The mirador at the end is small and packed with people.

Online reservation required. "Long" trail to glacier mirador now requires you enter by 13:30 according to rangers at entrance.

Parc is closed in mondays , other days it it open from 9 to 14:30 so be in time

The second part was really muddy after the rain, but the trail was easy. 1 hour summit. The last viewpoint was really packed. But the glacier and the waterfall were quite worth it. Wish the view could be wider.

Report Check-In

Very nice hike to the top, but definitely walk the 500m towards where the boats leave. Also an amazing view! Actually preferred it over the view at the top. Did not do the boat ride, so don't know if it's worth it.

Beautiful Glacier, worth a visit.
You need to make a reservation. If you don't have, they send you to a nearby restaurant with wifi to make one. Price 9.000 pesos per person. Park closes at 14hrs, so be in time. From 15hrs onward they are directing people down from the track.
Also nice to visit the lake and take the boat tour. 12.000 pesos each. Better view on the small waterfalls around, but nothing better than the view on the Glacier from the platform.

Lovely hike, largely pretty easy. I'd say no steep bits, just uphill. It's definitely not 1000m in ascent, it took us just over an hour each way. Beautiful rainforest. The view is pretty good but not brilliant, possibly better later in the afternoon so the sun moves away from the glacier...

Beautiful hike. ...but we spent 45 minutes waiting to cross the bridge at the beginning of the hike. There is a 4 person max and a line at each end. Granted it was high season in the middle of the first sunny day in a week but jeez! So many people!

Report Check-In

See last description. We arrived in the afternoon and the viewing platform was full. Still nice though.

Report Check-In

Very nice view on the glacier and waterfalls! 3 hours return walk, 6,5-7 km in total. Nice hike, not so hard. Only the first km is a bit steep but afterwards it's easier. Recommended to start early. The park opens at 8.30. We started at 9.00 a.m. and we were the first people that arrived at the mirador. 8000 clp pp. Can be slippery after rain, wear good shoes.

Report Check-In

8.000 to get in.
It was raining when we went, but the track is pretty well sheltered so it wasn’t too heavy on us. The ground gets pretty muddy with lots of puddles, but we managed to leap onto rocks and logs to stop ourselves sinking into the mud! Was a lot of fun when the path basically turned into a small river!

Report Check-In

Around 3.5km round trip. It's 1000mts of high on the first 1.5km and after flat (2h30 round trip) No views at all during the walk, all in a very dense forest. Be careful when it rain before or it's raining it's very very muddy. Beautiful view at the end but very touristy, small spot with like 20 people.
This one is the third Mirador and the closest one (one from the parking lot / one on the right after the bridge).

Amazing view. Worth for it!

2 hours??? Who you are guys? Usains Bolts

2:30-3 hours...

An easy 6km hike. We did it in 2 hours round trip, but we didn’t spend much time at the top. Too many people for us. (5,000 a person for the entry fee to the park) We left at 10am and were staring into the sun the whole time. Going earlier or later would have been better.

Report Check-In

Nice hike. The view at the end is great.

However if you want the view without hiking, you can go to the mirador about 300m from the parking lot. It is amazing as well.

Go before park opens at 8:30am to get the place to yourself.

3hours return. Walk on forest until the end : mirador was good but the walk not so great cause 0 mirador. Go to see the mirador at the boat place, it's fabulous!

Report Check-In

Wonderful hike up to the mirador! The forest is incredible dense and jungle-like. We saw the large woodpecker with the red head, a colibri and a condor. A bit muddy but ok.

Report Check-In

beautiful hike, if you have the luxury of being here at a quieter t time of year, a little later in the day... early afternoon perhaps... would mean you're not looking at it straight into the sun.

Report Check-In

really great hike trough almost an enchanted forest to the glacier. its a weird combination to walk to a forest and see a glacier. we saw an owl in one of the trees. just great!

Report Check-In

Stunning view of the Valley, lake and hanging glacier! 1 hour hike up to the mirador. It’s better to start early morning as it gets busy and crowded during the high season. Horseflies get worst later in the day with warmer weather. Beautiful place!

Report Check-In

Beautiful hike to the hanging glacier and waterfalls. About an hour to 1.5 hours each way. Worth the 5000 in our opinion. Avoid the crowds (in high season) by going early.

Report Check-In

Easy hike up through the bush. Took about an hour each way (straight up then return down). Views from the top are stunning. Loads of waterfalls, beautiful lake and that glacier, wow. Unlike our friends below we always figure paying for national parks is worth the money. Great to see the conservation efforts of private people and the government of Chile in this stunning part of the world! 5,000 no matter how many days spent in the park.

Report Check-In

Not worth the discriminatory price of 5000 CLP if you have seen glaciers before.

Report Check-In

Great views of the glacier. Moderate hike.
