Description

To leave Egypt customs require a "certificate of no fines", well when shipping. It is said if you come from the south visa Sudan you must get it in Aswan, it's valid for only two weeks while you drive through the whole country and must be inside customs before the certificate expires. Egyptian bureaucratic logic. Kamel, the fixer in Aswan said it is possible to get it in Cairo or Alexander but I can't confirm. Otherwise you may need to contact a fixer in Aswan at cost to get the documents sent to you. Come early (9:00am) with a copy of your passport and a copy of that A5 card with stamps and stickers they gave you at the border when you got the vehicle license plates. Pay 10E£ and wait for the certificate. I have attached a photo of the entrance and the A4 document.

Roughly the procedure is the same but:
the office is now at the next door to the right in the basement.

Price 50,32 EP
The whole cost us 1.5 hour.

Today the rate changed from LE 10 to 20. I mentioned it but of course it didn’t change anything. We were done in 25 minutes so that was a good thing.

Came here 12am.
Guy on the street told us that we don‘t need copies of passport and license.
So we just went up the stairs to the first floor and went into the office. (Brown desk, server rack on the wall, big printer inside his office).
Even met Kamel (Fixer) in the office, had a bit of a chat until everything was done.

Easy, friendly and quick to get my paperwork to leave Egypt. Opposite is a printing shop where Mohamed Elgabalawy prints copies of your passport and Egypt license. Excellent service.

Don’t bother coming before 10 am. They only open then. It is a quick process initially, however the manager that needs to stamp wasn’t here and only arrived at 12. You just have to wait. Staff are helpful but no English spoken

Since it's not very clear up here: you need this certificate if you leave Egypt to Sudan in any case!
If you are in Abu Simbel, the owner of Tuya has someone in Aswan who can get it for you for an absurd price, but you don't have to track back.

To find the place there is a large fenced building on the left of the road. Walk up the road past this building and cross over the next small side street. The door you see in the picture is on the left side of the road. As mentioned in another post it is not the door, but to the right of the photographed door. We started at the first level, but it seems they all know what you want. Still LE10. Took about 15 minutes and all friendly

We got here too late on Wednesday and the guys outside told us they won't open again until Saturday. Their English wasn't good enough to ask if this is the case every week.

You can get it in Alexandria for 300E£, according to our shipping fixer.

We had to go up the stairwell just to the right of the door shown in the picture from the other traveller. The police across the road directed us. Dodgy little office on the second floor, thought we were being set up at first, but they immediately knew what we were after. They produced the certificate while we waited EGP10.
